Wideband placement on RB exhaust?

Hey guys I have a full turbo back racing beat exhaust system. I just recently ordered the LM1 wideband and was just wondering what would be a good place to put the o2. I was reading how the heat can really mess up the sensors and that it needs to be placed before the cat, but since I dont have a cat... is anything affected if I place it after the pre-silencer so its farther away from the heat. This sensor will stay on the car all the time as it will be used by my wolf3d for closed loop.

I was thinking about placing the sensor right at the point on the y-pipe where it starts to Y off and go into 2 pipes.

If you're worried about heat, put it right before the silencer: it will be fine there for sure.

Definitely.
Personally, I use an FJO unit and put it within 4 inches of the turbo. No problems with snesor life/output yet.
