Maximum Boost on an NA??????

How much boost can a stock NA handle? Specifically a Camden S/C kit. My engine is streetported if that makes a difference. Thanks for the input. Alot of guys have guessed, that's cool. But, if anyone has concrete numbers that would be better.
Thanks.

i dont think there is any concrete numbers... there are too many variables. how well is the engine built? how good is your fuel system? how much can he s/c put out? etc... etc... etc...

Just give it a go and make sure your fuel system is up to the task

My friend has gone thru 3 engines with his supercharger.
He finally gave it up and went turbo.
He was blowing engines on 8 PSI.
The ideal situation would be to control it with a Haltech using a TII engine and larger injectors.

I am now up to 16psi on my 86 n/a motor with atkins 2 peice 2 mm. seals.
Using the turbo II lower intake and a home made upper intake with a 3" t-body. SDS controlle four 680cc injectors and HKS controlle two 460 sub-injectors.
Best time as of last night was 12.7et at 115mph with a 2.1 60 foot. 93 octane fuel.

I agree...no set boost limit, just limits on the tuners ability to make it work.

What I don't read in this, is about intercooling.
Without an IC, about 7 PSI is max unless you are dumping a lot of fuel for cooling, or using water injection.

Cooling of the intake air is a definite requirement for running higher boost.

i agree. VERY NICE! my friend has a 90 gtu that he made turbo with upper and lower intake manifold, stock intercooler, and running 850s for secondary at 5-6 psi, but he goes 14.1et at 97.

That is Kick A$$

Although, you guys are running like race cars....I'm looking more for everyday suitable boost. 6 psi should give me like a 30% gain (at least I've been told) Any other bragging rights

call Dave at atkins. i think the last time i talked to him, he mentioned one of his local customers pushing 25psi. i have no idea of the setup as i didn't get into details. but i wouldn't see calling and talking to him as a harmful thing. he's a very up-front, easy to deal with guy.
