Machining rotors for high revs and oil pressure

I'm looking at machining some 8.5:1 rotors for my engine so i can rev it a bit higher safely without them hitting the side plates. How much do you machine off the 2 faces???

Also I have E shaft oil jet mods done and my oil pressure is just over 4kg/cm when driving around, is this oil pressure high enough to support the bearings??

I'm running big HB port and a T04R.

Old rx7 competition manual says .13-.17mm clearance for a 9000rpm 12A pp motor. Hope that helps.

PS 4kg/cm is about 57psi for us here on on the other side of the pond.

So you would machine .005 off the whole face of the rotor? Hmm I might have to look into that.

I machined off 10thou of each face. You can take 12thou off but i didnt think i needed it as I dont want to rev OVER 9K.

From doing a Bit of Reading be carfull not to go too much, There is quite alot out there about Side seals comping out of Place at high RPM. I admit i'm not sure how much was removed though but best not to guess.

You take about .0025 or .003 off each side of the face of the rotor. It won't hit the whole rotor....just the rotor landing.

I see what your saying but when you get your finger inside the port and feel the side seal, I can see how it can come out that far.
There isn't much seal exposed once the engine is bolted together.
