Gaskets, Mazda the only place to get them?
Gaskets, Mazda the only place to get them?
I have my cosmo semi a part and am looking for a front cover gasket, water pump housing and upper intake manifold gasket. Just wondering where I can get these or do I have to go directly to mazda?
You'll have to order them from a dealer, they stock nothing, hence there are few part stores that can get this stuff as fast as Mazda if they can at all. Where in MN do you live? How do you have a cosmo in USA?

Well I got ancious and decided to make my own gaskets, I figured It would be a bitch to try and find the upper intake gasket seeing how they didn't send that style intake to the US. While I was at it I made the water pump housing gasket also. I think I might want to buy the front cover gasket though, looks like it has to be a specific thickness so the oil o-ring can do it's job. As long as I have this gasket thread going.... what should I use for a oil pan gasket? I've got a few choices, hylomar, loctite 515 (flange sealant/gasket maker), or try to find a rubber gasket. Which one would you do?

you should use some kind of silicon sealer on the pan.
the upper (and lower) intake gaskets you can get from mazdacomp N390-13-111A and N390-13-112A they also have the metal front cover gasket N390-10-502A

What do you mean by metal gasket for the front cover? The one that was on it was just like all the others I've seen, the paper/cardboard type material.
