First time rotary rebuilds

Anyone here remember their first rebuild experience? How hard was it? How long did the motor actually last?
The reason I'm asking is that I think my motor might be blown and thinking about attempting it myself. Just trying to gauge if I would be able to do it or not.

I tore the motor down, saw that one apex seal was broke. I tossed in a good used one, with new outer coolant seals and tossed the motor together. Ran for a year or so until the wastegate hose popped off.

I didn't clearance nothin, just tossed that junk back together. Well, I cleaned it all first.

Rotaries have to be one of the easiest engines to rebuild. Most of the time is in cleaning and checking/making clearances. Assembly takes minutes. Buy the 20 dollar how to vid from Atkins and give it a go.

I myself say it's a time consuming process rebuilding the rotary motor, but there's always video's that will take you step by step in rebuilding. I say the most time consuming is the cleaning, and checking the spec's, that is also the most important.
