What voltage should I give my pump!

I have read about the rewire and have even done it, and recently ive been having countless fuel delivery issues. I think its mainly because the pump is getting strait battery voltage, which when running is 14v, Should I put a resistor inline? and bring it down to 12v? Also I have been having trouble figuring out a good fuel pressure, i am running a SX adjustable regulator, and my 6an lines in parallel to stock primary 720 secondarys at 38 Psi with 1:1 rising rate.

Thanks

mate it should be seeing 12 to 14 volts (no need for resistors). the Reg will control the fuel pressure when it generates to much.

The big issue is why ppl run new power lines to them as its the current (not the volage), they can pull quite a bit and the stock gauge wire doesnt cut it. Upgrade the power line and you should be sweet.

also 38psi is a bit low, most run about the 40-45psi when dealing with upgrades reg and pump's.

Thanks, I just set it to 38 because it smelled rich, I have a wideband but I am really lasy in hooking it up, I hate tapping into the small SMALL power wire on the clock to power my gauge, I dont think it will hold up too happy.
