A few FD porting pics...
I'm in the process of half-bridgeporting a forum member's 13BREW irons (nyt). I'm almost finished with it. Here's the URL to the folder:

Here's a few photos:
Let me know what you think.

Ya, too see some serious gains you really do need to make the new port larger. Like IGY said, take that out farther towards the water o ring and then notch the housings. The other street port look pretty good but still kinda small for my blood. As you can tell im an extremest, i never settle for anything thats small. i dont meen to come accross as telling you its all wrong, im just letting you know my opinion. Good works, just needs more.

On this conservative bridgeport setup, we've seen as much as a 70ft/lbs increase in peak torque and response with less boost. That setup still has an 1100rpm idle and the car (FC3S) ran 11.60's at 12psi of boost on pump gas. I'm an extreme guy, too, and I like beating my own past records as well as achieving higher and better numbers, but the setup I'm doing here fits in a certain category and the owner isn't as extreme so I can't be as liberal as I'd might like.
Don't call me a chicken, IGY. You don't have any idea the things I've done and the things we do do here.

Just a joke. I'm sorry I called you a chicken. Why would I call you a chicken if I thought you wouldn't know what I was talking about? Nice porting by the way. why don't you show a picture of the runner work so everyone can see the way the bridge catches air.
I disagree with Rotortuner about the primaries being to small. If you open the primaries up anymore you will definitely loose a lot of the low to midrange on this motor. The size and shape of the primaries on the secondary bridge ported motor have everything to do with the drivability. If you take a good look at the size of the intake runners you can kindof understand why the primary ports should be smaller, just remember that port velocity matters. Now I can't back this up with anything out of a book, but I can say that I have have tried both, and the smaller primary is more friendly early and doesn't seem to make a difference later.
Again, nice porting. I'm sorry if it came off like I was criticizing you.

Hmmm, I do need to take a better picture of the port runners before I ship these irons off....

My phone is jacked so I'm looking into getting a cell to replace it so I have no other way of contact other than email (bdc@teamfc3s.org) or a PM here.
