They're as heavy as FCs and FDs, they they're not THAT "big". With the longer wheelbase compared to the RX-3 they could launch harder. And they don't look ugly, they look killer (Not as good as the -3 of course, but better than any RX-7 that's for sure)

Not to take anything away from this car, but this isn't that quick considering the Titan Motorsports Supra just ran a 9.41 in NHRA street class. That's on drag radials and IRS.

Supra's have inline 6 cil. which equals more power, more torque, the little Rx4 is probably just as heavy, with some tiny torque, and still rocked the house. Buzz more pics please. Man I never though I would see the Rx4 in the performance list. Nice work Anthony. Hey Buzz tell A777 to email me some pics from the Jersey event.

Hey, I give this car full props, but you guys can't make excuses when other cars are faster. We don't complain when Ari, Abel, Sammy, Marcos, Adam, etc. spend a **** load of money on their cars. It wasn't fair when Ari was wiping the floor with Supra's and people complained the RX7 was too light, just as it isn't fair that we now turn around and say the Supra has too much torque.

Thanks Guys,
That is a customers car on a limited budget and it has done exactly what he is asking of it. We are currently fitting a Rajab Bros RB30 into a 1st gen Rx7, this should answer some questions. The Supra of Titan Motorsports is a credit to them, Ari's 7 is a credit to him and this is also a credit to all involved. No excuses needed!

Back on topic that RX4 does some of the most awesome wheelstands I have ever seen from a street car

G'day Coffin!
neat wheelies for a relatively long wheelbase rx!

Judge - keep your eyes on fullboost, there will probably be more of A777's pics on there when he returns from his jaunts around the world. Did you remember that thread about the orange R100 13bt streeter from Australia, that was also on Fullboost? and the dude had matching orange hair... well that's Ben and he now owns Anthony's old RX3 - which is now red and has fitted a 20b!!! (as you do...)

An RB30 is an engine that would appear to have only been available in Australia. Its a Nissan based engine that was used in the Holden (GM) VL model Commodore.

Here is one of the quickest VLs in the country (world maybe?) Quickest time to date is a 9.39 @ 147.

And here is what a standard RB30T looks like

As it is from the RB series of Nissan engines, the GTR engine is almost a bolt in fit I think as are the numerous head swaps available from other RB engines (an RB25 head swap is a popular one). The RB30 is a single cam unit.

Hope that helps

Anthony, I just read what steve posted on the RB30 nissan engine. A question to you is why would you put an RB30 in a first gen. Rx7? All along I thought RB was Racing Beat..

Do you mean that you can swap the single cam RB30 head with the RB25/26 to make it a twin cam? I've never heard of single to twin cam swaps before.

Judge,
Dont worry! As you know my involvement with EFI and other race teams means that I must also develop for other engine types(the dark side). I decided on the 1st gen because they are cheap and drive very straight. At 150+ we need allthe friends we can get. RB is a Nissan engine code and are an impressive 6cyl, I also am friends with the Rajab Bros who are second to noyone with this type of engine. If you are interested, I will catch up to you in about 3weeks when I will be back in NJ. Perhaps there is other forum users that would like to catch up with Rohan and I then aswell. I will tell you of my plans then.
Regards-Anthony
