720cc Injectors

Could some one give me the part # from the ND 720cc injectors, the one thats written on the side of the injector. Im looking to get a set through a parts supplier real cheap but they need a part # the size and discription is not enough for them to find it. Also did these injectors ever come stock on any production car?

Thanks
Ryan W

I don't believe they came stock on any production car but the 84 to 85 GSL-SE RX-7 13B came with 680cc injectors. Many people argue that they are the same but the part #'s are differnt so are the colors of the injectors.

I believe they are stock from a 1984-1985(?) 1st gen 12A Turbo J-spec.
These injectors are easily purchased from any GReddy dealer for about $130 each.

1st gen 12A turbos came with a much bigger injector than 720cc's. I believe it was either 800 or 850cc's. They also have a different color and part# than the ones from GReddy and HKS.

Ive got a set of the 680s from a GSL-SE and would like to use them but im going to be using a haltech and the only maps I could find to get me started were for 550s or 720s from hitmans site. I still have my 550s but im scared that that might not be enough fuel for the mods I have and puting the 680s in and useing a map for 550s would make me run really rich to start off with right? Then I would have to mess with the map to take out fuel and I have know idea how to tune a fuel computer yet. So I figured I would be better off geting the larger injectors to start off with and using hitmans map to learn to tune on. Plus later on I would have the extra fuel to add more mods and retune the computer to match. What do you think I should do?

I run 12A turbo injectors on my car, they come with light green coloured tops, flow 720cc/min @ 40 psi fuel pressure on a test rig.

They come in dark blue coloured tops as well and these flow up to 850cc/min at the same pressure.

Cause these injectors are so old now (when off import) when you test em MANY will flow almost 1000cc/min as they have basically worn pintle's and seats. Recently I had tested over 12 of these injects to get 2 matched pairs, found BIG variations in actual flow rates.

So what ever you get make sure you test em on a bench before you put them in you're vehicle and select the pressure you want to run them at. I am turning up the pressure on mine so they run at 800+cc/min as they are not effected with the higher fuel pressures.

The Haltech has a function which you can change all the maps to a certain precentage all at the same time.&nbsp I believe it's Alt-R to select all ranges, and then Alt-P to enter a percentage.&nbsp This way you do a quick calculation from 550 up to 680 - I would adjust a little smaller than necessary to give you a slight margin for error on the rich side.

I've got 2 brand new Greddy 720cc injectors still in the plastic that I need to get rid of. I was going to use them for my Rebic but changed the setup all around. If your interested then make me an offer.....remember they are "brand new".

Thanks

I have found thru having had 4 GSL-SE's that after I had the injectors cleaned thru R/C Eng , the 84's came back in the 680 range, and the 85's were in the 720 range.
just a bit of info I've found along the way.
