Not BS. The Z06 is probably making ~385 rwhp...
Stock Z06 have run high 11's at 117 bone stock. If you notice the majority of cars that he takes out are Ferrari 360's. The 911 TT runs even or is slightly faster.

Late twenties, hah, more like your late 50's more like. Don't you know Corvettes are old rich guy cars. I'd love to have one, but beyond my financial reach, that why I have an FD, still expensive though, especially when you blow motors. On my fourth one now.

What? The Rx-7 was the same price as the vette in 1993. If your on your 4th motor you would have better off with a vette. (cheaper)

Ferrari's and Lambo's are "rich" old guys cars...

It's the other way around. The Z06 owner probably spent half of what the Turbo Porsche owner did.

Its hard to determine who is faster than who anyway.. The only fair race I saw the porsche turbo was about even....Anyway interesting clip..

Are you pointing out that some of my money goes towards my car's looks? This is true, but you if you saw either of my cars ('93 RX-7 and '97 DeVille) you wouldn't say that. Everybody has different values, and I'm more interested in getting the most bang for my buck.

those gumballs need some real import muscle in there..and since rx7s cant or wont step up, supra guys need to..i think there was an R33 in the gumball like 3 years ago..

Maybe these guys buy Lambo's and Ferrari's and turbo Porches because they are enthusiasts. Some, if not most are for status symbol, but these guys were racing....repeatedly. A status symbol owner would quit after losing the first race. He'd be looking for what the other guy had.

And if you look at the road tests, 360's and Z06's are quite even in terms of performance on a track. With some mods, yes he can put the smack down on most of those cars. Which he did, quite nicely.

Funny how we didn't see any video where he tried to challenge the F50 or the Enzo.....I think he knew there was another league out there he wouldn't want to play in.....

I've not heard of stock z06's making 385 at the wheels - more like 345 using the old 15% drivetrain loss rule. However, I am not a Corvette enthusiast and would defer to the ones that lurk around here. Do the mods mentioned in the video really add 50 bhp? I didn't believe that piston engines responded so well to breathing changes like that vs. the rotary, which really benefits.

Still, it does have to feel good to be able to have a car that performs as well or better than cars that are signficantly more expensive. However, I'd get really tired of driving a Corvette when I'd see another 5 just like mine in the 7 miles I drive from home to work and back......thick as theives they are here in NorCal. I've only seen two 360s in the last 4 years in this area.

To each his own. The camera work was a bit frenetic. I feel like I need to lie down.....

I thought gallardo was 500 hp to the crank...around 450 to the wheels..shouldn't that be faster than the vette?

Full exhaust and intake would very easily add 50hp or more to a restricted V8. Not so much with a 4 banger though.

DCSHOECOUSA had 3 STi's in the gumball this year...they pwned the exotics in the low end. In the top end? The exotics pulled away with ease.

Stock z06's usually dyno in the 350's, with the LG longtubes etc. 385 sounds about right. He did pull the lambo harder than I would expect........
