raced a ferrari

So me and my buddies were hanging out tonight and my friend was begging me to take him for a ride in my FD so ofcourse I finally give in and warm up the car and we take off on to the free way I give him a 2nd to third 3rd pull and I get off at the next exit and get back on to go back home and I am about to get off at my exit and I noticed some sporty looking tail lights ahead in the distance I decide it is worth it to stay on the freeway and check it out. Oh my god it happens to be a ferrari(didnt know the model at the time) f430 I pull up and make my blow off valve go off to make him notice I am there. He had a blonde chick in his car and he looks over and mouths "oh you want to race ok" I expected to loose but wanted to see what my car could do. I give three honks and he gets the jump(turbo lag) and all of a sudden I start to pull on him got about a car ahead then we shut down due to traffic up ahead.

I was so shocked because I didn't think I would be beat him. I got off the nest exit and took main street back home and noticed he was following me. He seemed pretty cool we stopped at a stop light and he asked what I had done to my car I said just bolt-ons running stock boost. He said no you have to be running more that that. we talked about some more random things light turned green and I took off. Cool guy and awesome race I was totally stoked that I actually pulled a f430. BTW I checked my pfc afterwards and noticed that my peek was a little over 12 psi.

Mods: intake, dp, res mp, rb catback, greddy smic, streetport, apexi pfc.

Are you running the std turbo, kinda hard to believe you woulda won if your are. In saying that there is a ferrari in my town thats freaking slow. I thought it was a fake till i saw it at a show, i ran it off the lights in my gf's civic and yeah it won but my fc woulda owned it. But an f430 should be a different story

Yes stock sequential twins and no I am not saying there is a Ferrari in town that is slow I am saying that me and a Ferrari raced on a freeway and he got the jump and then I started pulling on him.

I figured there would be B.S calls but whatever.

He was a cool guy he asked me if that was my only one and then went on saying how he used to have one and he also has a 3000gt vr4. I thought that was kind of a weird cars to have lol.

Nice kill. Most of the time, guys in those kind of cars won't race. That Ferrari should be 483 hp (engine) and 3200 lbs. Your car must be running pretty good to beat it.

Yeah... he was trying to impress the chick, by making it look good. He was pedaling like a three year old without training wheels.

Sure it wasnt a 360? They are commonly mistaken for F430's. 360's can easily be beat.

^^ Nice...

The link above is a MR2 kit, not fiero, but there are plenty of other Fiero kits running around. A while back I was riding around w/ my buddy Mark, in his 85 Fiero GT. We drive past a parking lot and see a crowd of people hovering around what was obviously a Fiero w/ a Diablo kit. It wasn't so much that it didn't look like a Diablo, because it was actually quite clean, but if you've ever seen a real Diablo you'd know that they are much larger. Anyways, Mark starts asking the guy questions about his Fiero, and the guy comes unglued screaming (in Eurotrash accent), "This is not Fiero, this is not American. This is Italian. This has V8!".
Mark proceeds to ask if he realizes that Diablo's were only issued with a v8. The guy slams his trunklid shut. After noticing the automatic transmission we conclude its a northstar swap, and point it out. The guy shouts something in a foreign language and speeds off. To this day I don't know if he was pissed that we spoiled his fun, or if at that moment he realized he got fucked.

that is possible I suppose. the tail lights were not flush like the 360 though, they stood out way more like the f430's.

as for everyone else talking all there **** if it was a mr2 or whatever with a kit it had a ferrari motor swap too.

Most of you guys in here talking **** havent ever driven a ferrari and have no clue what you are talking about it is not that hard to see this being possible.

ferrari f430 dyno's around 430 to the ground it weighs 3200 and has long gears.
It runs a 12.3 in the quarter with a trap of 113-115

Many fd's have made it in to the high 300's with there stock twins. many fd guys also have made it into the 11's in the quarter with higher traps then what the ferrari here gets.

So all you little kids sitting at home who have no experience with what you are talking about please find another site to mess around on while your board in school.

I know I was in shock and couldnt think straight. I thought I was getting killed when we started but then both turbos came on line and started to catch up and pass. I was screaming "NO WAY....NO WAY...OMG! I just couldnt believe he followed me. I got off I5 south and started backtracking home north and he met up with me at the light.

I thought buzzards comment was funny... i could give a ****; even if it was a fully blown, nitro burnin, 2500hp, meth inhaling, ground pounding, wheelie popping, ear drum breaking bad boy...
doesn't change the fact that all the threads in this section are

... and i think it is even funnier that your getting all butt hurt over it...so relax and go get enema

Good call, I never bothered to read the details on this specific site, but during my quick google of fake ferrari's i noticed most links were about mr2 kits.

And to original poster, wasn't talking **** about your situation.... just piling on to the Fiero comment. Fiero fakes are always amusing.

it was a joke, kinda like this thread.

the guy followed you after the race because you wrote a fictional story and you decided it sounded better that he followed you.
