raced a ferrari

I just don't get it. noone knows the condition of the other car. i mean nothing is ever showroom perfect. if anything i might think maybe it was due for a tune up. if he can drive, it's plausable with his mods. there's always somthing going on that you don't realize. The wize reconize it, the foolish ignore it.

Sounds legit, people who doubt things like that are retards. One of my close friends has an 07 430 in stick and it's fast as hell but Im sure even a TT FD with the right mods an a port can do some damage. An enzo though thats a different story

Thats awesome! Must of been a couple of slick gear changes haha! Bet that guy would be on the net to see what the price of upgrading his f430 would be, cams- $20000, carbon intake - $15000 etc etc

i have raced a F430 on my cbr600rr and i beat him. he kept up rather well though. i find it hard to believe that your stock turboed FD would put a dent in the power of the 430.

look I understand it is unlikely that I would win. I have been looking all over the roads to see if I can spot one to verify that it was a f430 and not a 360. Before I raced this one I would see one or two at a time every week driving around but not lately.
I am not trying to make up something, I dont see that point in doing that especially to people I dont even know and will never meet.

I run stock twins & if a stock F430 ran my FD, he would get pulled a bit. At 2700 lbs, any car putting down 407 HP (flywheeel) will run dead nuts even with a 3200 lbs F-car (I've got that much at the rear wheels so he would get pulled).
The OP is running a bit over 12 lbs - he's probably very close in power-to-weight (in other words, it's a driver's race). I believe him 100%. Most RX-7 enthusiasts (he's an enthusiast - he's modded his FD pretty well thus far) have better things to do than make up stories on post it on the RX-7 forum. My 2 cents.

F**K THE SYSTEM!!
^^lol
I have heard of fd's making 350whp on stock ports,bolt ons and , ems.(@ around 15psi)
considering the fd could get down to 2,700lbs easily.
But im still betting the ferrari guy drop to 3rd gear istead of 2nd (depending on speed) maybe 4th not 3rd....w/e it is a 6spd.

1 bar boost

I 100% believe this kill. A F430 has a power to weight ratio of around 7.2lb per hp (dry, and flywheel hp btw) my turbo FB has a power to weight ratio of around 7.4lb per hp (wet and fly hp) So like someone above mentioned, it comes down to how fast the driver can drive the car. Plus most people with a $250k car are scared shitless to use the full potential, omg can you imagine the service bill to fix a blown ferrari engine...
the dyno fearnopiston and my own car were tuned on read 10-15% conservative, its not a big number dyno like some are but rather a mobil dyno (similar to street tuning).
Steve Kan tuned both our rides and he knows a thing or two about dyno's.
My experience with a f430:
I let a targa f430 get a jump on me from a 75mph roll. I started pulling him around 85mph. The ferrari lifted off at 110 right as I was along side him going to pass.
It's scary to think of what hi boost or a streetport would do to that 220k car from a roll....
Thats not even the funny part...the guy driving the Ferrari was driving solo, I on the other hand had a beautiful French girl riding shotgun. The turbo7 is a poon magnet also, I have had multiple girls who have told me they almost orgasmed after a ride.
The man makes the car, not the other way around.

I completely agree with the above post ^. Man you have always got my back ha ha thanks!
BTW my race was pretty similar to yours only I went a little longer. What did you put down on the dyno? Dave I believe put down 320 rwhp but thinks he has a tired turbo.
