While cruzing yesterday with my Girlfriend I noticed a Trans Am pulling out of a gas station in my rear view mirror. I thought to myself " that looks like fun " but since my Girlfriend doesnt usually like the concept of me street racing ( she made me turn down racing a Vette and 355 ferrari at the same time ) I just brushed it off and continued on my way. About 30sec later the Trans Am is right beside me passing me casually but then I hear the roar of a V8 rev. Hmmm bastard, but then my girlfriend turns to me and says " get him " my face lit up and I said ok. We soon came to a stop sign, but it seemed he didnt want to race from a stop because he rolled through it. I pased him doing about 10-15mph and then heard a V8 ROAR, so I responded back with a Rotary paper shreding WOT. Through first gear it was pretty much even ( damn V8s and there Torque ) then I started to nose out on him in second, by the middle of third I had to cut out due to a Box Truck in my lane but by this time he was already a Car and a half behind. After the race my girlfriend was like "wow what a rush" made me laugh alittle and It was fun. Oh he also had his Girl in the car haha.

Then later some Civic Ex with and exaust tried to pass me Ricer flyby style, I left it in third going 30mph and he drifted back kinda imbarassing <!--IBF.ATTACHMENT_1123529-->

 

was the ws6 stock? and what do you dyno? seems like you should've taken him a bit better with the mods on your list.

 

No the Ws6 wasnt stock from what I could tell a few boltons maybe. I couldnt honestly tell you what I dyno at havent had time really ( or money ) to do it.

Hmm yeah that would be true if Steve "Dyno Tuned" my Rx7, but I was Cheep and just had him "Steet Tune" it. Im possitive that Steve Tuned my car, hell I was driving while he did it haha.

I once raced a WS6 from a dig in my FD with only a DP and intake sucking in engine bay air along with a mild boost leak from a cracked IC coupler . The guy was a decent driver as I saw him race before.

I launched from a light against it and immediately jumped out significantly and stayed in in front until 3rd gear and he started reeling me. I figured out the WS6 is pretty quick .

 

ever race one with a 150 shot? curious to know how a 360 rwhp fd would fair against one. i know thats like 500rwhp for the ws6 but those things are heavy as **** especially when they are optioned out. **** i was at the track the other night an the was a SS with a claimed 614rwhp and he was only running 11.5s @ 125mph with a 1.9 short time. so giving that i am guess a 500rwhp heavy *** TA would trap 118-121.

either you guys are all racing stock ls1's or your cars have huge turbos because around here i cant spit without hitting a 10 second ls1.. those cars are so retarded easy to make fast.




about what does a stock turbos 14 psi fd run/trap? from the mods listed in the posters sig it sounds like his car is pretty mild, but im not all that familiar with how fd's respond to that kind of first round mods.

i can tell you that with cams, exhaust, a big shot of spray and slicks a buddy of mine runs high 10's in his ls1 trans am.. there are tons of them like that around here.. ive actually never killed an ls1, and ive tried a whole bunch in a mid 12 sec car trapping 107 lol.. they are plentiful and they are ******* *all* modded around here it seems.. sucks to be me heh

 

Yeah It does suck to be you haha, I kill Ls1 about 50% of the time. There either modded retarded like your friends, build head with a cam and some juice. Then there are the ones like this Boltons only that I actually get a good run from.

Oh and If it was stock I would have pulled BUSES on it, done it before and Im still on stock Turbos at 14psi. Dont really want a big turbo, got something else in mind for later

Yeah that would suck alittle runing into a Turbo 5.0 , but my girlfriend usually is agianst me street racing. I always hear "What good is a dead boyfriend" so I dont get a chance to often ( while shes in the car ) so I was really happy/suprised when she told me to get him.
