FD vs e36 M3

Nothing very exciting but I was getting onto the freeway when I see this red e36 trying to catch up to me. I pulled to the middle lane and hit the brakes a little for him to catch up. As he got closer to me I dropped into 3rd gear and just cruised a little. He comes up next to me and I gave him a nod and he hits it. I smash 3rd gear and and I am already caught up to him, I look over, smile, shift into 4th and floor it and just keep pulling.

His car looked nice, it was a well kept M3 with that checkered flag decal on the fender with from what I could hear/see suspension and exhaust. I don't know but I thought it'd be a little bit harder to pull on him. I have all bolt ons @ 12psi untuned.

I raced a e36 from a dig and took him hard by third. This was in my FC with my old hybrid turbo @ 12 PSI too. The thing sounded mean though.

They are just low 14 second cars IIRC.

Why did you think it would be harder to pull him ?...stock E36 has like 235 horsepower & you have a Turbo FD w/ full bolt-ons. You probably have around what, 300HP(turbo) ?

M3's are not fast, just a well balanced european sports car.

The E46 M3 would give you a better run.

On another note, i thought you were selling the FD?

Ended up keeping it, going to buy a 2nd car and go single turbo on it. I have a lot of plans for the car but I need to keep the car garaged and safe instead of bringing it to school.

I had a E36 m3 with full bolt-ons and it puts down around 250 rwhp. My full bolt-ons FD will absolutely destroy the M3 from any roll. However, it is a damn nice daily driver though.
