Obviously you havn't seen my video of me walking a civic. The one I took had way more mods, he had a b20. I was on stock 10psi boost. I'll try to find the link. Don't let a civic intimidate you. You have a Rx-7. Get your boost fixed and laugh while you try to find him in your rear view mirror.

ok my friend also has a b18c1 but in a integra n that thing is FAST wit the bolt-ons and he is pushin out 210whp so ur friends car is NOT fully built not even by a long shot and as far as ur FD goes in stock form the FD runs like mid-to-highs 13s with a good driver so fix ur problem first i think only then u'll be able to take him out....n that car seems more like a coupe not even a hatch n if so u'd be able to take out easily then...

i dont think i would be afraid of that honda in my pretty much stock fc, i mean, even if you get beat, who cares? buy some fun new stuff and kick his *** then. it's just a honda, i beat a vtec civic in my parents subaru forester. i understand that they cannnn be fast, but most na honda's are extremely unintimidating. so just do it, i'd put money on you winning (if i werent a broke *** college student that is). you got him champ!

I would've been interested to hear more about that race IF you got your boost problem fixed. Reliability comes first.

But I guess your buddy was full of BS about his car.

I've built 1900-pound cars. guess what, they were all made in the 70's, had no interior, no ICE, no nothing.

New cars have alot of dead weight for racing purposes. Couldn't see much through the tint, but I saw the stock dash. Thatshit right there probably weighs 30-50 pounds. No way a 2000 model year civic gets to 1900 pounds when the builder doesn't do everything possible to lose weight such as ditch the interior trim.

You'd be surprised how heavy a light car is when you actually put it on the scales. Scales are as important as the dyno for road racing, and pretty important for drag racers, too.

If all you care about is dragging, it's hard to beat the V-8. think about all the power and torque they make. Then remember that they can be boosted too!

Ok guys, I'm not trying to be an ***, but, also being a nissan/toyota/honda/DSM guy, here is some stuff I thought as I read this:

just race... ... no matter how many middle-school girls you score with... you're still an ***, dude!
b16, b18.... doesnt matter 4 pistons vtak...
Ever try a K20"T" EG for breakfast? ....or that Top Secret 800HP 4agze in a supra?

747's shouldn't, most of the time, fear civics, unless one gets stuck in an engine at 10,000ft.
The one and only truth!

you still own a honda...

why not give it a try...if you both are cool guys..the race will be the start of a good conversion, or bragging if he's one of "those" honda owners...

Anyone else sick of the honda owners that dont have money, and they try to make a stylish car...but only get the bodykit done and cheap mesh? idk but in OH there seems to be a lot of civic HB's, kias, civic sedans, that fall into this and it's terrible. if you have money, get some style before you go and blow it on "chromies" It honesty gives the guys with clean/built sleeper hondas a bad name...no one calls a turbo'd Si pushing 300hp a ricer..but if you do happen to own an import you get thrown into the same group "ricers" just bcuz some ppl are stupid..idk..just my .02

does it have an interior? My DD is a 93 hatch with a single cam with no ps and Ac and weights 2180. My friend has a 91 hatch with a b16 dual cam and weighs 2240 with a full interior. If that thing isnt completley gutted there is no way it only weighs 1800-1900

its not a type r motor. If you notice the upper radiator hose, where it goes to the engine, that is an easy way to tell what kind of motor it is. if it was a b18c5(type r) the upper rad hose would go further towards the back of the engine. that motor is a b18c1(gsr)
