how do I whoop on a b16 engine civic?

Hiya - I have a 87 non turbo rx-7 with only about -3-4 mods that I'll quickly explain
1) intake
2)racingbeat pre-silencer
3) racinb beat headers
4)Trust Exhaust

I also seem to have formed some niffty holes in my Y pipe and I need to buy a new diff. mount (again). I used to whoop on cars like there was no tomorrow but as of late the car my car seems sluggish. I'm thinking this has to do with the fact that I'm loosing backpressure from the holes in my Y pipe. I've beaten a civic hatchback with a gsr engine + headers + intake + exhaust + port & polished + cam gears - before. Now I can barely keep up with my friends civic hatchback with B16 Engine + header + exhuast + intake + cams.

Can anyone give me advice on what my next mod should be (I'd like to stay all motor , and what I need to do to rip on my friend's car?

thanks in advance.

with such a free flowing exhaust, you have to make sure your 6PI is working. cuz if its not, itll drive normal in the bottom half of the RPM's, but itll just dog out above half. the 6PI lets more air enter the intake at higher rpm's, and gives you more power. if they arent opening, ur down like 20% power or something.

ive wired my ports open, its a dog in the bottom end, but, it screams in the top end.

also, next mods:

RP underdrive crank pully
RP dual belt alternator pully
Electric fan conversion
Power steering removal
Air pump removal
