I had a '94 Civic coupe with a B16a (JDM YO...lol) with a few bolt-ons. It was about even with a 2003 Mustang GT (5 speed, exhaust and pulleys) from a high roll, and I would have probably beat him from a low roll. That said, I sold that bitch and got an Rx7...

No, you are right. No one said that anyone thinks "any" honda is fast.

I am not here to hate on anyone but I will state a few obvious points with as little objectivity as possible...

Since when is 13's fast???? Quick, respectable (esp. for an n/a 4cyl) but by no means fast.... And be careful on here talking crap about "if you don't run lower than 13's get out of your thread" because there are very few here that do not AT LEAST run low 13's and would easily outrun your hatch.

If you search through the racing threads many very nice and quick "real" sports cars are the object of demise around here. Many a vettes, porsche, and exotics get "picked" on.

One last thing, and please try not to take it personally... I am a little taken back that you spent close to $30k on that motor and trans! And it ONLY runs 13's. That is just insane. I thought it was a LOT cheaper to pick up a b16 these days especially with everyone doing K20 swaps now. I am sure the new turbo motor you have planned will be pretty dang quick.

Sorry, one more little addition and try not to take this personally as well it is a gerneralized statement. So many people make these little econo-boxes (civics, neons, cobalts, etc.) fast. I have seen many run very fast times at the drag strip. But at the end of the day it just takes more money and more re-engineering than most can deal with. Sure it is fast, but it is still an econo-box and will never be a REAL sports car.

That is what I thought. I do not even think it costs $30k to do a K20 swap unless you have MAJOR custom engine suppourt/mounting needed.

Like a turbo is any more reliable than nitrous when tuned right nitrous can last years without any problem's ive been through about 15 10lb bottles so far with zero detonation..And i spray off the line and through shifts its called using a window switch and a wot switch son educate yourself!

Funny i can throw a 3k stall and nitto's and probably shave another .5-.9 sec off my quarter all while having A.C,Radio,P.S full interior and being smog legal...Sucks your GTU will never be as fast or comfortable.

whats turblowd ???? is that another HOMO. CO. term (honda motor company) kind of like fo mo co for fords but you pronounce it HUMOKO with slanted eyes. makes it run 13's.

dont get me wrong in the right hands hondas can be made to go very fast because there so light and small and dosnt take much hp, but those are the people that have nice cars. i like your paint job dose the black hood keep the sun off your eyes? THAT IS SO JDM

ok I just kind of wanted to clear some things up (not that this will probably help)

his car was for sure faster than mine. he walked all over me on the highway (bad) :P
we've established that he lost from the dig because he didn't hook up. (it was wet)

there is no real reason to make fun of the car... I mean yeah it looks like poop but so does my car! haha
people have all different tastes, I don't personally see the point in modifying a car that is designed to get good gas milage to make it fast. but hey, to each his own.

The reason why the thread was called "B16 swapped ek vs s4 n/a lol" is because it was funny that I actually got him once out of the about 10 times we ran that night.
