Two cars that run similar times stock. One is TT the other is N/A. Identical mods to both mean the TT will win. It's just basic knowledge.

Can you give me an example? I'm very curious to know the exception. From my previous experiences turbo cars take to mods better than nearly any N/A, unless you're talking about an N/A that is seriously choked/detuned from the factory.

there will never be any final determination in horsepower. say you dyno two BONE stock LS1's, THE SAME EXACT EVERYTHING, will they always bring in out the same numbers? it's depending on the mods, not all cars react the same even if they are the same EXACT car. V8's do respond very well to minor modifications just like turbo cars (we're talking mainly 93-95 rx7 and 98+ fbody). for example, with these so-called, "free mods" you can do to a V8 Fbody, my friend dyno'd it at 316rwhp on his 00 camaro. they are RATED at 325hp, but we all know that's not the numbers they bring out. before his "free mods," he had dyno'd at 301 bone stock. now he has SLP smooth below, TSP rumbler cat back, SLP clear lid, and K&N filter (stock exhaust manifolds, stock cats - full emissions). he dyno'd at 348rwhp and 351torque. that's pretty impressive and sounds like it responds VERY well to minor modifications.
now if you're talking about, say, honda's making less hp than a turbo car, then yes. but match it up with a V8. remember, the turbo is the replacement for displacement, so i wouldn't say we're comparing apples to oranges.

i like where this is going, i don't see a name calling war, just some knowledge being throw out there (atleast between me and you BlkS5TII)

That's true. I have no real experience with LS1's so I can't say anything about them. I love the motor, but hate almost everything that it's been put into, excluding Corvette's and 7's. That might change though. Have you seen the Camaro concept? Not an LS1, but the Challenger concept also. I might finally have an interest in getting a V8.

I think this is very true in general, and particularly true of the FD3S when modded with Int/Exh.
An otherwise stock FD with Int/Exh is going to enjoy a greater net gain in performance then a stock LS1 with Int/Exh.
This is probably due to the inherent, subtle increase in boost that comes with these mods. An advantage missed by the N/A cars.

lol i love the new camaro conecpt. looks niiice. i am thinking about buying it though..later LATER on (i'm only 18 )..they still haven't put out an estimated value, but oh yess..i've heard many good things about them mmmm.. not sure weather it's coming with an LS2 or an LS7, but either way, it's going to be amazing, in my opinion. i hate the new mustang retro look, but for some reason (not just i hate ford) the new camaro concept is very appealing to me

What about a 150 shot then. The T/A will own the FD, while the FD will own itself w/ a blown engine.

a T78@18PSI is smog legal? im talking not only does it have the emission parts, but it also PASSES. you can run a cam (224 is the ideal cam and still smog legal), bored, remap ecu, run a cutout, pulleys, ls2 manifold, etc. on an LS1 and still have it pass emissions.

I was boosting @ 14psi with only a high-flow cat (ACV isn't connected to cat) and passed the smog test on the dyno. I discovered recently while removing the EGR that it was completed blocked off with carbon and wasn't helping either.

My goal for this season is 400bhp and emissions legal on the stock twins

Here is what one LS1 owner had to say...

Here is the thread if you like, some of these guys are off the wall.
Jon

wow, people actually look like that? LMAO, you think your hard cause you have platinum, sorry but all 3 of those guys are scrawny as hell, I'd love to meet them in a back alley somwhere, knock em out and shove them into Anacostia
(part of Washington D.C*its the only reason why D.C has the highest murder rate per square mile than any other city in the U.S)(also on the verge of P.G county which is the deadliest county to live in, in the U.S)

Lets see how long their "Hard little whiteboy identity crisis asses" last out there.

I really cant stand cocky people, theres always going to be somone bigger and badder than you, that goes for you American Muscle guys, try your luck with Demetrious, ErnieT, or Lupe, sure there are muscle cars out there w/ more power than them, but they also have 5+litres of engine. Stop the bickering omg!

Having driven both a T/A and FD, I wouldn't hesitate picking the Rx7. However, there are a great number of reasons why each are for different people. I certainly wouldn't recommend such a car for my younger brother (who really doesn't need to be driving anything powerful enough to spin the tires anyway) or someone on a budget.

F-bodies are without a doubt cheaper to get fast, but I don't know too many N/A vehicles that gain allot of HP from minor mods.

There are also reasons why the Rx7 is the only car in Super Stock with less than 300hp and a MSRP less than $40k.

I will give the WS6 credit though, it's good enough to hang in with the A-Stock cars unlike the rest of the heavy F-Stock pack.

We can compare anything we want, but what we were talking about was..
a TT FD3S and a N/A LS1 with INT/EXH.
"NAWS" is off in a tangent.

You know- Ill be very honest... I am sitting at home right now...heat is on...nice ice cold coke sitting next to me...something that the men and women of our country's military would probably kill for. I realize that everyone is in a heated debate- However until you go off and fight for this country as many men and women have....keep your damn mouth shut... I dont care if they talked about your dead grandmothers pu%sy. They ARE the reason you are able to STREET RACE...DRAG RACE....and the things that we all enjoy.

I wont even **** a hottie if I know her man is serving overseas. I mean it.
Everything gets put aside, these guys (and gals) get full respect, until they prove otherwise, and even then they get some slack. That guy in the pic is a Badass!
