This is one of a few runs I did with a very nice 2000 LS1 Trans Am
The TA sounded great with in/exh.
This one was from a stop to about 118mph. we did another to about 130mph where I pulled even more distance. We did two short pulls from a roll, he thought he would do better that way because of the traction issue, but the results were the same

That video is clearly doctored. There is no way the other guy was trying.

 

Why not? I've raced t/a's in the past and the outcome was generally the same.

 

Well if you dont think a rx7 can hand a modded 2001 ws6 heres me about a year ago. http://media.putfile.com/NESpeed-RX7-vs-Modded-WS6 He had a tuned ECU, long tubes, not cats, loud mouth, and a air lid.

I just saw the vid and I must say that jonny was pulling pretty hard. What speed did the vid start at and where did it end? At first it seemed like he was keeping up, but at the end the gap just kept growing. It didn't look like he let off though since he would have dropped off faster than that had he done that.

It's true that you can't get as much power per cubic inch, but LS1's start with A LOT more cubic inches. The power potential is greater.

 

At first it was close, we were parked next to eachother! jkIt started from a complete stop, my friend was just slow on the button. the vid starts while Im still in first gear 5mph? I let off this time at 118mph (ish) he wanted to go to like 140 but i didnt see the point, it wasn't really close.

kid we got more ******* torque than you have hp, you better take your cute mr. pib 1.3liter to the track get your 2.7sec 60ft w/ a 14.5 1/4 and come back to talk **** after reality hits you. I might have a ls1 engine to sell to you once the shock wears off, thats if you say please.

p.s. btw dont take it out on us because they actually put TTs on your car and its only decently fast ( im trying to choose my words wisely so i dont alienate the non chump rx7 owners ). You get called out to the track and yet you still sit here behind your monitor running that mouth, next time you post it better be to say, "ok bastien/adam ill meet you at the track and settle this." mr. 12.4 1/4mile...what do you have to worry about?

I really don't see anyone saying"do I put big ugly ram air scoops on my car and it's still only moderatly fast" to you. You know why? BECAUSE THAT IS THE STOCK ENGINE DESIGN!!!!!! A lot of Marines I work with buy F body cars. Do you know why? Because they are,
A) a dime a dozen
B) cheap as dog **** (obviously didnt spend the money in design because it looks like a *******) because they hold zero value.

I will be honest with you, they can be fast, but I HAVE raced 2 of them and took them both. One from a 20mph roll and one from a interstate roll.(55) I always thought the car had a lot of potential, but so does every FD so stop being a ******* baby about this.

I said I see them all the time. Not run them all the time. I go out to NPR about one wed a month. They do have some mamoth powered F-bodys out there was all I was saying. They also have some that are not fast. If you read was I said and stop being a **** you would understand.

 

I'm pretty sure he understood what you said, but he is wondering why you never run if you do, in fact, go to the track all the time.
