I agree with recon fd and SCCAIT7, if you don't or haven't ever served, don't talk ****. You owe your life to guys and gals like that 1st Sgt.

blaahahahaaa very true, nascar does NOT count. I was talking about the tracks that are well......straight. I can't say that ls1's are slow because SOME are extremely fast, but only in straight lines. I see little scion tc's beat them around twisty tracks!!! heheeheee

thanks,
-josh

I can't go anywhere on a weekend night without being surrounded by F-bodies doing burnouts and taunting everything they see. There were about 10 of them last night that just wouldn't stop being jackasses. That's not including the Mustangs that are even more common. Turbo Eclipses come in third on the list of most common car that jackasses like to pick up cheap and think they're the ****. It's just so old now. Wow, he can do burnouts, his car must be fast. Whoah, did you hear that Eclipses BOV squeak as he flew by?

Well I couldn't bare to read all the BS in this thread but I still wanted to through in my .02. I haver had an f body and an FD (still do). My F-body (96 Z28, heads and cam etc), but I can assure you it is half the fun one of these FD's are to drive. Now yes, the torque is greatly lacking, but the hp is great fun. I won't even mention the build quality of the interior and engineering of other things such as the rear end (How is your stock 10 bolt holding up? :P). So with that said, I'll put my FD as it sits now against any of your f-bodies at the road course. PM me if you would like to take me up on the challenge.
How about this, lets do a resale comparison...??? You f-body guys up to it?

Yes I sure am. I'm by no means saying the LS1/LT1 are bad, I love them too. I'm saying that I will still put the FD up against this guys Fbody on a road coarse with or without an LS1.
I bought this car for its handling and weight to put an LS1 in it, yes. And I fall more and more in love with it daily!

Why post a kill with no video?
Because it is fun to share a race story with others
When the story is supported with an actual video account, why not share the reality of the story too?
