I just saw a nice project on ebay tons of nice parts I did a search for 1st gen rx7 looking for a motor and it came up.

Exactly what class do you think "they" were building it for? The chassis no longer will fit in Production with all the holes and missing rear floor. The car could go into GT at this point in SCCA, I don't know how NASA would class it.

 

Agreed....looks like GT3. Would need a BP motor. Has a lot of the right pieces. I'm not sure you could turn it back into an EP car. It's a shame to give up so close to being done....I can relate to his pain. Looks like a good deal for someone who wants a track day car or who would spend another 250 hours and get it finished.
