New MT ET STREET *RADIAL*

Has anyone used the new MT ET STREET RADIAL yet? I am used to cutting 1.5 60ft times with the older ET streets but just noticed the new ones are radial ply.

Here is a link to see what they look like from Mickey Thompsons site...

http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/s...et_radial.html

I am considering getting them since the regular ET streets get a little wobbly up top but would like to get some opinions and 60ft times before I do.

Anyone use them yet?

Thanks

Anthony

kabooski(not a seasoned drag racer) cut a 1.56 with his Fc second or third time out I believe. I'd check Supra forums, quite a few guys have been running them on there. Carl

I use ET streets

I run them at 18 PSI

broke 3rd gear on that pass
had a boost leak from a IC hose
on the prior pass and ran 12.0@122 with a 2.0 60' foot

I heard the new MT radials are better then the BFG's tho

Good advice on checking the supra forums. They love the new tires. I did a search on "street radial" and it seems everyone is using the new ET Street radial and lovin it.

It's also funny that I saw a lot of the supras running these tires on stock Rx7 wheels in the rear.

Thanks,

Anthony

Anthony,
I have two friends w/ 9 sec 6spd. Supra's and they both use them. Very stable and hook well. I may try them as well.

I don't think they do, but I will check for you tonight. I have a set of these for sale moutned on stock FD wheels. I was going to post them up in the for sale section when I get some time to take pics. They have 1 pass on them (no burnout), then I blew my engine so I am just trying to re-coop some money right now. I paid $360 shipped, mounted and balanced plus the wheels. I will take $500 shipped for them.

The M/T drag radial is supposed to be the best DOT drag tire out now. They won't last long... be forewarned.

Nitto 555R- most streetable and longest lasting (10-15K miles)
BFG drag radial- better 60' last about 3-5K miles
M/T drag radial- best 60' last about 3K miles or less (very soft compound)

Better how? I would find it hard to believe that they would hook up better then ET streets. I would definately assume they are a more streetable tire though.

These new tires are breaking records previously set by the M/T ET streets. All the fast DOT tire guys are running them. They last around 3K miles.....
