Fritz's Track Videos
Active Member
Any Audi driver, 18 years of age or older, who has paid required ACNA dues. May name additional family members who reside in the same house (see dues schedule). Members can vote and hold office.
It says active members have to pay dues. And I'm not an Audi driver.
Associate
Any person, 18 years of age or older, who is interested in joining ACNA. Associate members enjoy all the benefits of the club, but cannot vote, hold elective office or designate a family member for membership.
This doesn't say anything about paying the dues. But I can't find an application or anything that says how to become an associate member. I just see the member application.
And the registration form says "If you are NOT currently a member you may JOIN ONLINE at www.audiclubna.org and use the confirmation number (enter the full number including the “ACNA-JOIN” prefix) on the event registration form. Non-Audi owners are welcome to join as Associate Members.
I have no problem paying the dues, but if I can join as an associate and pay less or something, I'd rather do that.
Usually, you have to pay their membership fees and be a member to go to their track events. For me, I own a BMW, my wife owns an Audi so I'm already a member of those clubs. However, I'm also a member of the Porsche club locally to go to their events (even though I don't own a Porsche).

I'm full of questions...
On any of those days (17-19th), can I bring friends? Like I wanted to bring my Dad and a friend on the 17th, my dad and another friend on the 18th, and just a couple friends on the 19th. Can I do that? (Stupid question?)
Also, the even packet says "trailer drop-off" is the day before. So I assume I could trailer my car and leave it there all weekend?

Regardless, check with the event organizer.
Typically you can leave your trailer there the ENTIRE weekend, and typically the track closes the gates to any in/out traffic in the late evening so no one can take your trailer.
Again, check with the event organizer.
Have fun and be safe.

First things first, I've registered! This is going to be fun...
Now I'd better make sure I can get off work that weekend

PS- is a battery in the rear hatch kosher for tech inspection as long as its bolted down, or does it have to be in sealed box?

Depends on the organization and how much of a butthead the tech guy wants to be. Some places/techs will require an external kill switch if the battery has been relocated. Most will only check to make sure the battery is bolted down and not loose. I purposely keep my battery in the stock location just so I don't have to deal with the different tech people.
Typically you can bring spectators over 18th years old as long as they sign the course and venue waivers. Most likely they cannot take rides with you, and depending on the venue, even an instructor. If any of your friends are under 18, you'll need a guardian waiver.
Regardless, check with the event organizer.

No worries concerning the battery because it's enclosed enough in the rear bin so as long as it's tied down well you're good to go.
If you can't get off from work I'll kidnap you and send an extortion letter to the wife who can fax it over to the boss
Hello all!
Hi all,
Just thought I would say Hi!
Actually since so many folks are coming out in November, I may have to join you. Not sure if I'll bring the FD or the H1 civic though...
Also killed some time at work watching your track videos Fritz..very nice driving. You are very smooth with the wheel. I may have to try out your limp wristed driving style and see if it works!

I love wrestling with my feminine side when circling the track
In the most recent vids though I'm driving Gene Felber's old car with no power steering and now my current car has no power steering and since GOD, bless his soul, left me with barely enough power to lift a wheel and tire six inches off the ground I often appear as though I'm wrestling a dinosaur.

I was there for the Audi event. It was a complete blast! Absolutely the most fun I've had in the last 10 years. WV RX7 was there as well in an FD, but I'm not sure if he stayed for the trackdaze event. Next Audi event is April 22nd, 23rd which is a Monday/Tuesday. I'm there
