For Sale Full Race FD 1994 RX7 Track Car
For those that have followed this thread since its inception in 2006. I will be selling my Rx7 Race Car to pursue my goals in another racing category I have joined recently. Its impossible to run 2 race cars and be competitive in both classes. At least with my pockets that is. LOL! I have not formerly made a for sale Ad as of yet but will be making one for the forum, EBay and Racing Junk in the near future. Just a chance for those that are serious to get in before I do so.

La Calabaza Sold!
SOLD!! The end of an Era for me. It was an awesome one and a great experience at that. I apprieciate the private messages but no need to feel sorry for me or the selling of my race car. It was done by choice because I found a new interest in another type of racing. Spec Miata racing..... And although this car put out a good 4 years of fast racing. The competition volume was way to small, Race rules way too strict and yet the racing weekend was way too expensive. For those of you that have actually made it to the track with your rotaries, You know exactly what im talking about. The car will be going to Dominican Republic where it will be raced by a fellow forum member. He plans to run it just as aggressive and even put in a 6 speed gearbox. This thing will be a monster and I cant wait to hear results from La Calabaza down south!
Bon Voyage!

I'm the lucky new co-owner of the car 8>)
If you guys allow me I will keep posting updates
Just finished the 1st race this weekend and the car did great.
I got the car out of customs friday afternoon after 1 week of paperwork and B.S. delays.
So we got to work on it ASAP
1st order of business was alingment.
we dont use slicks, we use Toyo R888
also 17'' wheels
so new spring rates much lighter
then we started to work on the body
had to change the rear hatch for the oem metal because the rear wing can not go beyond the rear bumper.
had to install 1 throtel 62mm (class req.) to the air box and completly seal the cowl ind that Rob had done to the car.
and did some other little stuff like a battery box and unplugging the electronic control susp. also class req.
did all of that before 4am
and got to the track for the 1st practice seccion @10am
still a lot of work had to be done
so I did the 2 practice and qualify
just getting to know the car
that night we change the diff and took about 100# off the car
the req weight is 2,400 w/driver
next morning did the only practice seccion allowed and confirm that the car is going to be competitive
finished 8th in both races, sound bad but I'm very happy with this result because I only had the car in my hands 48 hours before the race and I was 1sec slower than the leaders @race times
will post pics soon and keep updates of changes

here is a pic of the field the car is running now.
as you can see the competition is awsome. Lots ex-factory cars.
lots of European WTCC and BTCC cars, BMW, chevy lassetti, seat leon, Honda accord, acura rsx
also USA cars from Touring car, mazda 6 from Tripoint and Tindoll, Honda/Acura made buy Tindol w/Realtime parts, BMW from turner
homemade projects CRX, FC rx7, Lexus IFS made in Costa Rica by Roberto Molina
this was the 1st race of the season, more cars should be out by the next race.
and our car shoul be running better
