Finally a friggin update to this thread!!! LOL

Ok, after getting the motor in the spot we wanted, got a good fab guy to help make the motor mounts, trans mount, and button the firewall backup.

Here are some pics of the mounting:

That's the first thing I asked him about...but those are just temp spacers for designing the motor mounts. He is going with a Urethane puck, cut to a specific thickness.

My urethane mount on the exhaust side melted when exposed to the heat of racing. I went with solid aluminum.

Ive had similar issues,. Proper heat shielding prevented the problem.

It's good that you have all information about your car i have doubt about body design from front is not environment friendly like it will not be good when there is storm outside that will make it slippery

Well, it's October in Minnesota, so time to winterize the rides, get your project cars up on jackstands and make sure the space heaters are working properly. I suspect we won't see anything FINAL and running until the Spring, but I could be wrong. At least when I lived just outside of Minneapolis, that's how the car hobby worked for me!

There is not much to update. The project has been mostly idle this year. It turns out you have to make money in order to hemorrhage it (meaning i know he has been very busy with work). But maybe Damian will update more about it.

Andy and I have also been hogging the lift with another project FD.

In case you do not know, this project is back in full swing and I ended up taking the car to Chip (from MN to MI, was a crazy trip!!!) to help get the car into race ready condition.

I have some posts on it on my facebook page:

OMG Damian... Making that drive this time of year is just flat out CRAZY Was hauling or shipping the vehicle out of the question? Talk about white knuckled! Bet those intake charge temps were real nice though, huh? I take it you encountered some weather by the looks of the car. Wow!! How many hours did the trip take?
