12A Compression

I did a compression test on an engine and got 100 psi with a standard piston engine compression tester with the button held in. Is that good, bad or so-so?

It starts right up and does not smoke. It's in a IT7 that has about 20 races on it.

What is a fair price for it?

I'd say its so-so. A fresh build to IT rules will get you about 120-125 and they usually won't run below about 70 or so. Value I don't think I can help with because I look at just about any used engine as a core. Maybe $400-$500?, I guess it depends on what you are expecting from it and who built it. How complete, how much of the IT tricks are done to it.
