P Values and GM 3-Bar. Need Help!

I need some help from some of you FC-Datalogit gurus. Just got the GM-3bar sensor wired in and changed the offset and scale values to 0 and 41800. The commander reads out -6mm HG with the engine off so everythings fine there.
I have my P rows mapped in even steps from 1000 to 24000. This is similar to my old tune which, at idle, used to sit at P2 on the map tracer. Now it sits at P5. Vacuum has stayed the same. Should I remap the P rows starting at, say, 4000 (for decel fuel cut)?
I have noticed that alot of maps use P1 (a vacuum reference greater than what the engine could pull at idle) as a fuel cut to avoil backfires during engine overrun (i.e. deceleration). Is that a good thing on a high HP tune?

My problem is probably simple, but I wanted to see what everybody else was doing about it.

Calibrate the map sensor to get real ABS values per accurate vacuum and pressure values as the common PFC valaues are off.

So why does it read close to zero at atmospheric? That seems to be calibrated.

.01 X 100 = 1 "not much"
.01 X 1,000,000 = 10,000 "much more"
