Instead of Parallels, try VMWare's Fusion.

Last I had contact with him he was in the process of making a change of residence, and probably relocating to a different country.

So I am assuming he is a bit busy at the moment, and must attend to more important things than a little software package for a hobby car…

But if it means anything, some of us rarely come to this forum other than to check to see if there is any progress on this single piece of software

He is definitely around; he was last on the 27th and made a post as recently as the 20th. Not to sound like a stalker but I really want this software that much!

I would make the statement that it is the single least refined thing about my car is the clunky user unfriendly software that resides on my screen. It is so difficult and cumbersome to use and view I have all but refused to use it unless I need it for some important observation.

I haven’t tracked to many vaporwares in my experience where the author would keep in contact with interested parties, and Cathel seems genuine about wanting to continue with the development.

Also for those of us that have to have this, there is still hope for FCTune….though I cant see how it could compete with FCWatch as FCW is flash based and is absolutely stunning already.

Heres hope if things don’t pan out here though…though like i say i have a strong feeling they should as the interface is already in a releasable form.

I also intend to release several parts of the source of FC Tune. The non-PFC specific parts probably beginning end of June. Most of the non user interface sources compile also under Linux and MacOS, so monitoring/logging could also be realized under those OSes, but I won't invest any time into a complete port.

Are you looking for an in car or laptop solution?

I am willing to participate in development if you need help. I have basic programming knowledge and some experience in flash. I have been into carPC's for some time now, so anything I can do to help, let me know.

I only come on this forum for the fc watch and fc tune software...
both don't seem to be coming along very fast...
FC tune does have a working version etc, but still needs an fctune box or datalogit box.

Will FC watch be needing this too ?

Yes. You would need extra hardware to interface with the PFC. (Currently only Datalogit is available)

As the names implies, there is no real competition between FC Tune and FC Watch

Why not we start a new OPEN SOURCE software for PowerFC? This software is already dead. I'm a graphic designer and I would be very happy to build every types of graphics for the software.

I dont think it would be so hard to code that software, is it? PowerFC protocols already known. I'd start to code that software if i knew any programing language.

Com'n guys this is one weekend project.
