I don’t think so though I may have missed something?

Anxiously awaiting release!

Once this comes out I wont know which app to keep up, the GPS interface or the new FC watch software that has been on my wish list since day one of having the datalogit

So many fun toys and so little viewable area!

If only all the software could play nice with macOS and virtual desktop for a smooth transition between apps.

I heard a rumor that perhaps one day soon this could be a native feature from apple.
Any validity to this from the software crowd?

How about making an adjustment so you can enter in a different final drive ratio for those of us with modified diff's and we can actually see the correct speed? This would be a lifesaver as they are actually ticketing people via photo radar here for going 1mph over the speed limit!!! I would definatly pay for that feature.

Hey I just have one question, how would you hook the power FC to a computer?

Sorry guys.. given my circumstances, things would be going a lil quicker if I wasn't up to my neck in a rebuild.. will post some pics of progress later.. and hopefully a quick video of the software in action. I better get a move on - otherwise rotarypower101 will have me fired!

Note that you have the option to use the PowerFC Pro cable as an alternative. However the datalogit is a handy unit because you have aux inputs for things like wideband etc.

Ah, ok. So I will get the cable included with the Pro unit ? I just thought it had the added ignition cut and 0km/h rev limit features added...hehe
I got a shipping estimate of 5th of august for the PFC Pro, commander, boost controller and MAF harness.. so I guess I'll see soon.

And by the way...I've heard rumors that I can't get a suitable dataloggit for the RNN14 PFC Pro anyways. If this is so, is there any other options for attaching a wideband ? Similar boxes that might be compatible ?

You should set the software up so it would be possible to replace the gauge cluster. I have been trying to figure out a way to do that for awhile now this maybe the ticket if a viewable screen can be found.

Not fired per se, just locked into your programming dungeon until we see some very much overdue software

Again thanks for the effort you are, and have put forth to bring this to us folks.

Ky7: could you lead me/us to a few good resources (for beginners/novice programmers) to start learning what will be necessary to know how to change manipulate, and build our own plugins for this great piece of software?

And again if you need any beta testers, I am more than willing to give any feedback of my feelings about usability and logical layout and usage.

fritz, you certainly could use the software with multiple mini lcd screens set behind the dash where the gauges are positioned. This would be more down to how willing you are to invest in the time and hardware nessisary for a setup like this. The positioning of gauges etc is unlimited within the app.

rotarypower101, for developing applets.. you have two options. One is, you can write a DLL in any compiled programming language you like.. C++, Delphi, VB etc. I will be releasing the requirements and basic framework for plugins implemented in this manner. Now, the easy way...

You need to be familiar with Adobe (was Macromedia) Flash. You also need to be familiar with ActionScript in order to access / manipulate FCWatch streaming data from within the applet. All the applets for FCWatch will be open source, so you can look at these for basic examples of how to create / modify your own applets. I will also release some documentation on how to create these applets.. finally it's all down to your imagination and ability to make cool looking gauges!

Would you say that this software could replace real gauges? One would assume that the data coming through the PowerFC is sufficiently accurate.

Then I could get one of these to display my gauges on.

Sank... you may be on to something!

Seriously.. that is exactly what the software is for - aside from a really cool replacement for the commander unit with the ability to log for tuning / playback purposes also.

Scooby, it was the gas coolant seal on the rear rotor, about 3mm of it broke down positioned just below the exhaust port and this was letting combustion gasses into the coolant and pushing it out my overflow bottle. Real bummer, kind of like a blown head gasket in "boinger" terms.. except you need to remove and tear down the engine to fix it!

Now all new gaskets and seals etc, should be good to go for another while, could not afford to replace my housings at this time unfortunately. Engine is built, just need to check end play, put all the accessories back on and install, hopefully done tomorrow.

FCWatch live vids..

Ok.. just a couple of vids to demonstrate FCWatch in action.

vid1
vid2

These vids demonstrate playback mode, using a log file created from an actual run using FCWatch. Please note the vids are very choppy (compressed) - in the interest of keeping the file size down. I will post some vids of live streaming data in FCWatch as soon as I get my car back on the road..

Thankfully, I have the rebuilt engine in...

[img=http://www.fcwatch.com/screenshots/engine_bay.jpg]

Sadly, I think either the wedge collar and wire ring (which I reused), the clutch release collar or clutch fork itself is damaged / installed incorrectly, so another hold up until I drop the tranny and see what needs fixing / replacement..
