I cant wait till this software is completed. Is this going to be a freeware software or are you planning on charging? If so, how much?

Hey Ky7, great looking software! This will be an awesome program for us techies and computer guys. And the default gauges will look great on my red/black laptop in my red/black fd hah. One thing to note however: I only skimmed through the thread but will it require a serial port or will USB from the datalogit function?

Also if you could edit the first post with updates on progress then we won't have to sift through 10 pages to see if we can download the software yet. Thx

Ok guys.. when I'm in work on wednesday morning I'll put together a test release for you to check connectivity and the functionality of the software. I've been incredibly busy (changing jobs) at the moment, plus trying to resolve a secondary boost problem so I can complete in car testing.

aoc007, serial or usb, either will do. I can't edit posts after a certain amount of time.

neeeeed softwaaaare resorting to imagination….. must have soon…..

Patiently waiting as much as humanly possible, but please be kind to the CPU she has had a taste of this software and cant get it out of her mind, the brilliantly devised gorgeous layout must be hers to share with the world.

is the teaser ready?

Nice display did it fit with no mods? I'd love to have an in-car computer and in an ideal world it would manage the engine as well!

no it took a little elbow grease to get it in there and still look OK, but it was worth it…

to the people that are using in car computing, it is fairly hard to understand why this is not mainstream yet other that the complications of device control.

There is nothing better that having all the helpful applications and media libraries at your disposal on long trips and untracked destinations i.e. GPS

The whole thing is very anticlimactic, just get a screen and make it work for your conditions.

There are motorized solution (I have one in my other car) that is easily made to look presentable. (but most are of low quality)

I wanted it as stock as I could get so I made a housing that fit double din, and tried to match using a rubberized spray, instead of modifying the panel itself (this way it looks no different than as if there was a aftermarket deck in there IMO). Though I have an extra A/C panel just for this purpose, originally my plan was to integrate it but I could not find a suitable way to perfectly match the other panels without spraying each individual panel to match.

With the Holiday season amongst us, I'd wager nothing until after 1st of the Year, as it should be.
