Exclamation Ignition Map, what the.. and some other questions

Good evening,

So i finaly got my car running. Its a used PFC, was on a NZ FC3S with hybrid turbo, 800ccm secondaries and 3" exhaust, produced 260whp. Well so far.. I have taken some time to write down the Ignition Maps (i have no datalogit lol). As far as i know, stock split between Leading and Trailing is 15° ATDC. Well, as i looked on this maps.. look yourself, what do you think??

Are those BASE maps of an FC3S PFC? (I have a A.P.Engineering PFC) I havent found em on the net yet...
can i use a FD3S Ignition BASE MAP? BC i have a IGN-L map of a FD3S PFC. And can i take this IGN-L map, and just screw up the IGN-T by 10-15° more than IGN-L?

Also my car's idle is 11,4:1 AFR, but if i start driving it, i can only drive it with not more than 1inch accel.pedal pressed. if i go further, it becomes really lean, lets say 16:1-18.1. I have tried out the fuel correction test, and screwed it up to 1,500, driving the car was a LOT easier, it got lean sometimes (14.5:1) but not more than that, and the peak of KNOCK was 68...As soon as i accelerate softly, the knocklvl goes up (but no light is illuminating in idiot cluster) oh, O2 feedback is off, because of LM-1.

well.. its a just rebuilt engine and i am not allowed to drive the car in boost levels for the next 1000km.

oh.. i have tried out map trace and ghost also.. idk why, but i always stay at PRESSURE 06, no more no less.. it only moves with the RPM (N03-N08 for example)
and my BOOST is always at 335mmHg-350mmHg

hope you guys help a newbe out

It sounds like they where using a different Map sensor, like a stock FD style and you need to tell it that you have a GM 3 bar.

You need to get a Datalogit or have someone that has one download that map and see what are all the setting that they changed.

I would not boost it at all untill you get the A/F into the green

a stupid question, but have to ask you

well, i want to correct my ignition timing maps, and there is one thing i cant understand.

i have read over 100 threads about split etc. almost evrything.

example:

if my ING-L shows me 15° (ATDC), and i want my TRAILING to fire 10° later, should i put in the ING-T 30° or 5°?? on all base maps i find such things like:

IGNL = 10°
IGNT = 0°

in my thinking, trailing fires at TDC.. could somebody please explain?

ps.

i have an AP. Engineering PFC, and the split at P5 raw is from n05-n09 (-5 to -6 )

nobody want to tell me?

i have read threads about mazda idle, and that pfc cant affect the idle timing without DL settings.

but hey, just tell me how i should adjust IGN-T.. to positive, or towards negative to let IGN-T fire AFTER IGNL.. i dont get it

You never want to have a negative split. If you have a negative split you would be indicating that you want the IGN-T to fire BEFORE your ING-L.

yes.. but THATS the point!

SPLIT is IGNL - IGNT = (15°-10°=+5°).

So, WHY is IGNT 10° (LOWER THAN 15°, that means BEFORE 15° (IGNL)) BEFORE IGNL? i dont get it. what is the mistake in my thinking?

also, my FC Commander shows me IGNL 20° and IGNT 11° while driving, that means IGNT is firing first, IGNL after IGNT or not?

damn, i am so sorry guys..

thats a stupid mistake of mine.. i was referring to a website about the powerFC which explains that POSITIVE DEGREE in Ignition map are ATDC! and this just cant be.. so my confusions kept on.

http://www.turborx7.com/powerfc.htm

That is an example of a Ignition Timing Map for the leading spark plugs. The map is once again measured in RPM vs. Load. This time, the units of data is degrees. A positive number is in degrees ATDC (After Top Dead Center). Negatives mean BTDC (Before Top Dead Center)
Someone has to correct this, as there might be others which are new to powerFC and get wrong information.
