Idle surge Strange readings on injector duty

Basically the tune was great all day. Running fine no lean spots while cruising or under boost. Good throttle transitions. I started it up about 20 minutes ago to take it around the block, and when I got back to the garage the Injector duty cycle reads 0.0% ( wide band is still reading A-OK at 13.5 AFR and it is still running the entire time) then it reads between 5-10% . All while it's revving up randomly to 2500. Any ideas, This is new to me. I'm gonna go check the plugs now. Thanks for the assist.

Are you reading from the data logit or commander? Are all of the connections good? if you are using datalogit is the serial/usb connection solid and using correct drivers etc? if AFRs are OK sounds like a communication problem with whatever you are reading with... but this is just a guess...

I was using the datalogic and the laptop. Everything was looking fine except for the sudden idle surging. I was thinking it was a communication issue as well. Still I can't have a randomly surging idle. That can't be safe. TPS failing maybe?? or IAC??

You might try unplugging the idle speed control valve and see if it smooths out.

I'll check the ISC in the morning. Neighbors got me with free beer tonight. Any other ideas are appreciated. I'm more of a Haltech/ Microtech/ Vi-Pec guy when it comes to tuning

well I'm getting a bad read on the fuel injectors from the commander, but that's ok. The idle is now holding at 2K after I start-up, and I'm pretty sure it's because of the ISC having crapped out. Car is still drivable and has NO lean spots

post your current map and a log of the problem, preferably with a wideband input

You can actually see the map, you just need to magnify it to the large size.

The commander is not working because you have the data logit running...

They use the same communication line and only one can talk at a time and the datalogit usually takes priority. Every once in a while you might get an update on the commander, but this is normal.

Do you have the advance items logged? the parameter Advance ???? or Advance ???? (2) is your idle speed control valve.

I image that is what is causing the reving, but I would like to know if it is causing the ramp up by opening, or cutting it down by closing? don't know which is the cart and which is the horse...

Have you set up the idle and completed the idlea learn procdures or is this out of the box operation?

TTHe car was running perfectly for about 3 days. then after a quick trip to the gas station because I was finally satisfied with the tune ( originally it's had some dangerously lean spots) ....... Idle surge. It hasn't really gotten worse, but it's not doing what I need it to do, and that is a rock solid 850 RPM idle. I'm not really sure why I showed the commander. when I took the vid I was thinking to myself why did you just do that???

what happened when you unplugged the ISC? Did the idle stay high or continue to surge? what feedback(s) do you have turned on?

I am just guessing but I imagine either your isc valve is craping out, or you have a new vac leak that the PFC is over compensating for ? Could be going in and out of idle control... not sure exactlly how the PFC software works, we can only make educated guesses based on the behaviour. Arghx and Cewerx both have a lot of experience working with them and may have better handle on the specifics...

the stock oil pressure gauge on your car scares me.

Oil pressure is good. I just topped it up before I shot the video. I've been talking to arghx, and he's helped me out a good bit.
