AP Engineering S5 starting problems

Hoping to get some help/pointers.

I have a S5 TII, fresh rebuild stock port, 725cc primaries, 1000cc secondaries, deatschwerks fuel pump, banzai racing Iat adapter and sensor, banzai racing 3 bar map sensor and adapter. Emissions removed.

I have confirmed good compression, good spark, good fuel pressure. I get a good crank going and it starts to fire up, shoots up to 900-1000rpm, but then stalls out dead.

One issue stands out, and perhaps it's the only thing keeping it from starting; the PIM voltage reads a constant 4.99v and the boost reading on the commander indicates a constant 1.20 kg/cm^2.

What am I missing?

You have a problem with wiring or connector to the MAP sensor, the reading you have is the same as when it is unplugged. You also need to set up the 3 bar sensor with a datalogit.

Is it possible to set up map sensor with just the commander? If so, how?

Also, once map wiring is fixed, will it at least run even without setting up the sensor? I'm just trying to get it running so I can drive it to you actually!

It must be done with the Datalogit. The MAP sensor is critical, the car can not be driven without being set up correctly.

Crap, all I have is the commander. That said, we are still talking about 2 issues here, one the sensor connection/harness issue and two setting up the new sensor. Having a sensor not set up, would not cause it to read 4.99v as well, would it?

So darn close, just want this thing running!

Even with the scale and offset wrong for the sensor the PIM voltage should be around 1.5v with the key on, car not running.

Checking voltage at the sensor it is seeing 1.5v and reading to spec when applying vacuum. Means I'm losing signal at PCM or somewhere in between? If that's the case, wound I even still see voltage at the sensor?

Unplug the AP yellow harness and check that all your sensors are seated properly. Look for any issues with the harness.

Also the guy who will tune the car has a datalogit so I am just trying to make it work in order to visit him in a city 220km away.
