I was just wondering if anyone has tried the antilag feature on the PFC. Of course you can't do this if you don't have a datalogit.
How does it work?

Yes. Don't do it if you're running a cat. Deafening and black cloud of smoke. May be b/c my car wasn't fully warmed up. Did it at idle just once. Can't be too good for the turbos or cat.
It retards ignition by 40 degrees while dumping 50% more fuel every time the clutch is depressed. This causes the excess fuel to be combusted in the turbos rather than in the engine.

Did you shoot some nice flames?
I was wondering if anyone has tried it racing or at the track.
It seems that with the stock twins it wouldn't really be needed, but would work well if someone had a big single (T78, etc..)

I think the WRC cars use a similar setup. I read somewhere on the forum that it DRAMATICALLY reduces turbo life . This isn't a problem for the WRC cars, becuase they don't use the same car for more than one rally anyway. Just what I heard.

It retards the timing by 40 or so ° when the clutch switch is engaged. (you T a wire into one of the GPIs of the datalogit)
This fills the exaust stream with unburt fuel. When you sidestep the timing jumps back to the map & all that unburnt fuel is ignited. The explosion creates boost creep so you leave the line with lots of boost.
The datalogit manual has a nice little blurb about it.
