Hey all, gonna post this here too just incase it is a PFC problem...
Car had been doing fine till 2 days ago. 14.7-15 under vacuum with a slope down to 12afr by 13 psi of boost. Now I see afrs around 15 when i am in boost with it ocasionally going to 16! Needless to say I have not pushed the car because I know these are bad numbers to see under boost. I have only tested this at lower rpm's in 4th and 5th gear never topping 4k rpms.
My thoughts are that either 1 or both of my secondaries isn't working right, or that my ignition is falling on its face and making it appear lean.

Little extra back ground is that I just relocated the relay box that attaches near where the hood release is. The only thing that I think should effect anything there is the relay for the fuel pump right, but if that got shorted out wouldn't I not even be able to start the car?

The relay in that location is the one that bypasses the FP resistor which increases your fuel pressure.

If it is not funtioning properly, this would cause the engine to run lean.

 

Can you just "loop" around this relay??? I would want to do that anyway.

EDIT: Bypass in a way to keep fuel pressure up, that is.

 

Yep. Connect the correct two terminals and the pump runs max volts all the time.

 

cool, it was a bad ground at the relay, all better now, now i just have to wait for my datalogit

 

Would this hurt anything??? Or over work the pump???
I would think this would be the same effect as the "12v fuel pump mod" for supras.

 

Basicly it won't overwork the pump but longevity will suffer. I have also been told that the stock FPR couldn't handle it, but then this was from a vendor who I am sure would have been happy to take my money for an upgraded FPR, so you can make your own judgemnets on that piece.

Running the fuel pump at higher voltage may increase idle fuel pressure a few psi but with the commander or datalogit it's easy to lean out idle and low load.
