I run one, and have had no problems with it. Are you getting it new? Or used?

Get the keypad with it. The base maps are rich as hell. My plugs only last about 5,000 miles.

Personally, I would never buy anything from PFS after reading this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...threadid=88361

If you're gettng one used then it's probably just as good as getting a used Redom ecu such as M2, Pettit others or better because you can get used ones for $500-$600.00 and they are programmable. But I think there are better options out there for 1k if you're thinking of buying one new.

i agree with you. but keep in mind the unit was not made by PFS. EFI is the maker http://www.efisystems.com/pms.htm . PFS was just the main seller for the rx7 owners. i am running the unit on my auto. if you have $1100 to spend i suggest buying the APEX Power FC. but IMO, the EFi is the best for us low ballers. i also suggest buying the unit used. just do some research on the diffrent versions. i am aware of the gold (the oldest), purple, and purple with the pink upgrade software. each version weeded out bugs from the previous. if you do a search in the ECU part of the forum youll see that plenty of people are using it. let me know if you have any questions.

If you learn to program it right, then it's awsome. Try to find one under $500.
