For those that are interested, the VW Mazda swap is done. I toook for a drive and then pulled the diesel out to reinstall the rotary. I bought a TDI Passat while the swap was underway(very cheap price) so I can enjoy Prof. Wankels dream

do a search for diesel powered rx7 on youtube.com

Merry Christmas

I just watched the vid, what are you going to do with the diesel driveline if you're putting a rotary back in? Wanna trade some FC goodies?

I pulled the diesel to reinstsll the rotary. I have a LOT of cars and need to thin the herd. I bought a 96 Passat tdi while doing the swap. I had a hard time justifying the time to complete the swap but did so just to say I did it. I'm going to install the diesel into a Samurai have sitting in the garage. Not as exciting as a diesel powered Mazda but a lot easier

Well that was really cool. Unfortunate that you didn't want to keep the TDI in there.

Nice job though. It's really awesome to see that someone actually came through and did something, and not just talked about it.
