FL Almost done!

In 10 days I will have been without a car for exactly a year! Yup walking and catching rides everywhere! Blew my rotary back last march and decided to go with a 1j vvti and the burnout kit for my dd. havent yet decided if I want to go with the wide body or not.
Heres what we have so far... all that's left is a bit of wiring and to throw the tranny in!

Still gotta work on the hood a crap ton to get it to fit... but shes finally looking good again!

dude! same exact swap im doing and almost done also, although i have not tryed to start mine yet.. let me know how it goes. how much did the swap cost u so far for parts + laybor and everything? mines run me bout $5,500 (canadian) the driveshaft alone was 400 dollars though..retarded

ps/oh and how does the hood fit ? i bought the same one too. LOL

pps freaky my fds also red and my rotary blew up last feb, and ive been carless ever since also.hmm, must b a 1jz vvti thing. LOL

Ive kinda went all out on mine... my motor was $4500 alone, vvti with 10k on it!! all in all it will be about 15 to 17k just for the swap, but then gotta add in the burnout kit, and paint and body work! ugh!!
I havent started mine up either, were finishing her up this weekend. Ill try and post some vids up when its done.

The Hood you cant really even put the word fit anywhere near it! lol... It needs ALOTTT of work to fit, But Im sure ill be extremly happy with it when its done.

Its getting finished up friday and saturday!

dammmn dude. i got my motor / r154 trans / ecu all wiring and stuff for 2500 cash lol. my motors got 40k on it, looks brand new we took the oil pan off to swap for a rear sump. also did the divorced downpipe w/ external dump on the turbo thats on there.. supposedly it makes a BIG difference

wtf , thats scary..we got 2 much in common, ur motor didnt blow on the way to the beach on the highway by any chance either did it? LOL.. i limped all the way home. hopeing to start it this weekend too,moneys low though so we will see

oh and heres a few out dated swap pics.havent got any new ones my cameras broken

this is the hood..so close to fitting actually, just the intake hits one of the vents.

I need a shifter! Anyone know a good short shifter that will work with the r154 tranny?? I cant find one

hard to find one dude..+ r154 trans kinda shift sloppy anyways so a short throw isnt gona be much of a help, may as well just cut down the stock shifter will feel less sloppy

dude thats brutal.. check www.driftmotion.com i picked up a G worth of parts from there, really good deals. + u live in the states so shipping isnt a big *** headache / customs fees and stuff. i got my full shifter assemb for 50 bucks locally then bought new bushings from driftmotion
