Thanks for sharing your experiences. Did you use the manual rear, or the auto rear? I went with the auto rear. It seemed to match the r154 ratios much better.

Keep filling us in on how the car drives overall as you put more miles on it.

strange, the first start up is always the scary part LOL we changed the oil, spark plugs, water pump, timing belt, etc added all fluids etc, started it up, warmed it up and changed the oil again right away no power steering because late into the power steering mods to the rack we realized that there is a bunch of stuff missing for the power steering system from the JZ motor

That hood doesn't look close to fitting at all. The engine will be sticking out of the hood once it's closed unless you cut and mold it to fit... If you want to sell your hood, let me know.

yours sounds strange when it cranks.. mine sounds more beastly, maybe its just the starter though, did you check if the fuel lines are hooked up right? does the fuel pump even get power?

sounds liek its not getting fuel or spark..cuz usually it will burp and studder as if it shows some sign of starting did you change your spark plugs (and get the right spark plugs for the motor?) NGK BKR6EK (twin electrode copper plug), also make sure everythings getting power. One of my MAF wires wasnt getting power thats why mine didnt start first try.
