Wow that RX2 is an outstanding example of an original 2dr.

Toyo_Kogyo your car is outstanding, it is all original never restored right?

Beautiful deuce! I've never seen a rear fog light on an RX-2 let alone an old-school RX. I take it they were an aftermarket accessory?

Thanks for the comments.

Yeah the fog light had to be fitted by Belgian law, along with the fire extinguisher under the drivers seat. I'd like to remove it and put it under the rear bumper (the fog light), but it would leave holes. I guess it has to stay where Mazda put it.

The drivers window has an aero bubble thing too, that's very period. I saw you could buy them in Oz recently, but for RHS.

Yeah, i'd leave the fog light where it is as it is pretty unique.

Haydon, that repu is looking SOOOO nice bro, I am led to believe that US Spec 72-77 Ford Courier front bumper is identical to repu..
Only the corners are different. Corners ARE interchangable.
I am also led to believe that 72-77 Mazda Pick up's are the same too.
Can anybody else here can confirm that?????
If its true you may be able to purchase new if you phone around Dealers in the U.S.
I'd suggest you post a question on this forum to confirm my beliefs. There are a few repu owners here.

Yes, you are correct about the bumpers. The center section of the Courier bumper is the same as the REPU. Many other Courier/Mazda B1600 parts can be interchanged with the REPU as well.

Haydon, just a quick question. Why did you ditch the 6X139.7 hubs? The only reason I can see is you already had that beautiful set of SIMMONS F90's. I used to want to ditch the 6-lug hubs on my REPU as well, but I have had a change of heart lately and welcome the challenge of finding a set of unique wheels. If I did change them I'd probably do the 5X114.3 pattern so wheel choices would be easy.

That is definitely an awesome job you are doing and feel free to let me know if you need help sourcing anything here in California.

^ I've got to admit New Zealand is one of the the top places I want to visit. From everything I've ever seen, it looks like a country with amazing natural beauty, great landscape, good weather, and friendly people. The fact that there are die-heard rotor heads out there is icing on the cake!

I love it, it reminds me of the one I used to own...except mine was white with the vinyl top. I bet it's difficult to get parts over in Europe, too, good luck

I couldnt resist. Updated pix but still playing with different ride height (chopping lowering blocks and adjusting front coil-over). Once I find the right height, the 73 will be color-sanded and will polish the chrome pieces inlcuding the long ones below the door.

I liked it better with the 7 stock wheels. The Panasports dont' do anything for it. But then again the the way it looked at 7 stock was the "sh*t" so that would be hard to top.
