why go for the 4 rotor directly when you can make a 2pc 13b shaft for me first??

A small drop like that would be around $500 if i had to guess, out of sheer curiosity ill get a few quotes tomorrow

 

Today I ordered the piece of material for the e-shaft.
Also putted the frame back in the car, tomorrow I will line it up.

I only got to ask a few vendors today, however around 450 is what i was told for a piece that size, would obviously be cheaper if i bought a length

No, I'm using modified 13B middle-housings and 4bearings. Bu yeah, 3pc e-shaft.

you do know there's a place in new zealand that sells 4rotor e-shafts and do mods for the center plates.

NZ$3950. for the 4 rotor shaft only and a little extra with counterweights.

center plate mods are NZ$900 each.

Yes I know, that's the reason why I want to do it myself. The prices are way to high IMO.

If I sucseed, it will cost around 900-1000 US for the e-shaft and modified centerplates.

you should totally be the competition and bring the price down. i would much rather have a 4 rotor then a 20b lol.

 

But remember that 1000 USD is except my own time payed
~400 for the E-shaft material
~150 for the nitrid-surface
~670 for grind and polish
uknown for the heat-treatment, maybe I'll do it myself also.

Then I think 20-30 hours of milling and lathe will be enough for myself.
A few hours of CADing also excluding.

Overpriced?? NZ$3950 ($2800) Good luck finding anyone here in the states to do that kind of work at what ever price you think its fair. and keep in mind that exchange rates fluctuate all the time and if your were patient enough you can get the shaft for $1800 or less and other miscellaneous stuff at alot less then it is now.
