I built a mount for the coils today. I would like to later on build a nice C&C part to hold them. but here is my temp fix.

There is about 1 inch of space between the coils and BAC under the TB. Now if I can find some short wires. maybe a set of FD ones will fit

goto some parts that I had orders back in feb. so I got to spend a few hours of quality time with the Cosmo and made some progress on the building the harness

rats nest

the new TPS connector didnt fit so I will be using the old one

good thing I saved the harness, I had someone who wanted to buy it. anyway useing my old connector.

for right now I am using the stock injectors so I cut the harness up and use the stock connectors. In a few months I will do the entire fuel system ( fuel rails, 720 primary and 1680 secondary. PD, FPR. stainless steel braided fuel lines). So I left the wires long enough that when I do I can just wire to them directly.

wire up the injectors and coils. sorry only got 1 picture the battery went out. ( missing the L3 coil from the picture ) top row is T1 T2 T3 left to right. bottom row is L1 L2 L3

lol those coils are pain the butt to wire up. you need 12 ground wires. I think I need to buy glasses after leaning over the car all day trying to crimp the connectors for the coils at a full arms length and make you have lined up. I'm thinking about buying a 2nd harness later on and using this one as template so I can build it outside of the car.

did not get as much as I wanted to get done. friends stopped by from time to time at the shop and wanted see and talk about cars...

left to wire up

OMP
TPS
MAP
BAC
CAS
Air Temp
Power / Ground
Wide Band 02
Tach output
speed input
profec solinod ( im not using the profec controller, you can use the haltech to control it)
starter
reverse lights
clutch switch

here is what I used for ign, inj, TPS

ign1 - leading 1 yellow/black
ign2 - leading 2 yellow/red
ign3 - leading 3 yellow/orange
ign4 - trailing 1 yellow/green
ign5 - trailing 2 blue/violet
ign6 - trailing 3 blue/green

inj1 - pri1 blue
inj2 - pri2 blue/black
inj3 - pri3 blue/brown
inj4 - sec1 blue/red
inj5 - sec2 blue/orange
inj6 - sec3 blue/yellow

20B TPS
From top to bottom
black/red - White (Signal)
brown/black - Black/white (Ground)
-unused
brown/white - Orange (5V)

well got the wiring in the engine bay finished for the most part. I just need to wire up the power and ground for the haltech. Im going to wire the power after the main fuze instead of directly to the battery. you know where the two power wires come out and then go into the other fuze box.

I have some wiring to do inside the car and still need to build the down pipe. I should be able to try and start it tomorrow.

how do you remove the throttle cable thru the firewall? The 13b cable does not seam to be long enough to reach the TB

for right now I disconnected the OMP cables and I will run some 2 stroke premix in the gas until I get the OMP sorted out. the color codes that haltech sent me are for a 13B OMP and most of the wire colors on the 20B harness are not the same. Once I get it sorted out I will hook it back up

Well after many months of work, I was able to get it started today

This is on just a base map to get started now the real fun starts tuning it. Still a little smokey from the ATF I used on the engine before I removed it from my old blue cosmo

I missed the cranking part but this is the 1st time it started so I let it run a little. Had to turn it off after I found the oil feed line for the turbo was not tight enough. only with the down pipe on, next few days I will get the exhaust built up. It is so much different when it was an AT it dint rev that fast
