Oh my god, they took out the soul of the mustang. It is no longer the experimental stallion kicking stang that it was.

If you wanted some payback should have done a 12A, but a 20b? Who is going to argue about putting that into a v6 mustang?

yeah... it is a drag only car now. its not just that the weight balance has been thrown off... but the moment of inertia is different because the weight of the engine is no longer in the same place. it probably affected the center of gravity of the car as well.

not to mention the fact that it is no longer a "pony" car.

that thing isn't even a Mustang anymore... if you wanted to swap a rotary into something why didn't you just keep the Mazda vehicle it came from??

now, try not to get your panties in a wad over this and take it as the joke that it is.

Sorry, I meant if he makes 700rwhp. Even if he makes 800rwhp, I might still be a good race

Until he put his foot down and you hear the familiar sound of the 3 rotor as he pulls on you as if you were driving a geo metro.

ACTUALY IF YOU CHECK THE WEIGHT OF AN FD AND THE WEIGHT OF THE MUSTANG AFTER YOU INSTALLED THE 2OB THEY WOULD BE VERY CLOSE. BUT THE MUSTANG WOULD BE LIGHTER.
FD WEIGHS ABOUT 2850LBS YOU WOULD BE ADDING WEIGHT.
MUSTANG WEIGHS ABOUTS 3070LB WITH V6 AND AUTO TRANNY YOU WOULD BE TAKING OUT WEIGHT. MOST V8 GUYS WOULD WANT YOU TO BELIEVE IT A HEAVY CAR WHICH IS NOT JUST LOOK UP THE SPECS ON IT.

Interesting car, very different. It gets my vote for being different.

Personally I'd never drop a rotary in my Cobra or drop a V8 into my RX-7. But I'd sure love to see that car one day.

As for pissing off Mustang guys, you might get a few of them going (usually the ones who call me a "ricer" for having a RX-7) but most don't care and there are the guys out there who just love to see something creative.

Some of you out there might be suprised about how many Mustang guys own or have owned rotaries

yeah, I know a few mustang eX-RX7 owners... they keep telling me that they liked the 7 more but couldnt afford it... One guy in particular that had a 3rd gen and sold it and bought a Pre-made AC Cobra...
btw, how hard was the swap? what was involved?

My FD weighs 2650 with a full interior, and no cats, p/s or a/c.

2004 Mustang Weight: curb weight (lbs) 3,665

taken from this link: http://www.internetautoguide.com/car...ang/index.html

The weight you are quoting comes from the 1994 mustang body style.

it was probably a v6 anyways

same money spent, with that same turbo, you would make ALOT more power

plus you need the torque to move a car like that

wow
