I wish we had Portland area meetings....
..Not that I even seem to have time to have my secondary ports fixed..

I doubt anyone would complain if you brought it along? When we had the cruise the the beach earlier, we had a bunch of other mazdas there too [a 3 and a 6 if I remember right..]

I'd try to go if someone organized a Portland meeting?

tigard is that even in the NW

hell yeah we need to set something up and get a bunch of cars rollin. all generations and all types hopefully( bugs??) its just gotta be rotary powered. where is this place in tigard that you can race? is it legal there?

I know a spot on down by vancouver lake that is marked with a 1/8 th mile mark and 1/4 marker. used to be the hot spot for illegal drags. we still hit it up every now and again. if your from the couv area you know this already.

lets do this thing, I don't care where it is in the p-town area.

yea i was wondering there was any meets in portland. I checked and there's some clubs but it doesn't sound all that interesting, espically the part where u have to pay. It would be awesome to have a meet at like a pizza place perfferable with a big parking lot.

Rotary Power Northwest (RPNW) RX-7 Club meets the first Wednesday of every month at Round Table Pizza located at SW Capitol and Barbur (10070 SW Barbur, Portland, Oregon 97219). We've been meeting monthly for over 9 years. RPNW is the largest and most active Rotary Engine club in the Northwest. Our biggest event is the Apple Blossom Festival gathering, called the Northwest Rotor Rally, but we do many other events too.

There isn't really any info on your membership info page....
except an email add, and a paypal donation button..?
Does that mean you have to pay to join?

Oh, and I've never been to Sykart [nor heard of it :P], is it like Malibu Grand Prix?
I guess not.. [just found picts from sykart].

btw.. I'm still thinking it's my secondaries not working on the FC...

It is a membership club but you don't have to pay to attend the monthly "business" meetings at Round Table. Membership dues are more voluntary than anything else, but members get discounts on some events and at some shops around town. I haven't been an active member for several years, so I don't have all the details, but I did found the club in 1997. The club needs paying members because it is a real Non-profit corporation that has to file taxes and pay insurance, as well as have money to set up big events like Apple Blossom. Basically, you get what you pay for. But, like I said, the monthly business meetings where the Board of Directors meet to discuss club business are open to anyone, free and everyone really goes there to socialize.

Honestly, I don't remember. I haven't paid for years, since I moved out of state and have not gotten around to re-joining since I returned. The last meeting I went to, there were probably 15 people there, including representatives of Pineapple Racing (me), Cork Sport and GT Garage. It's not the kind of gathering for doing burnouts but it's great for talking to people with a *lot* of collective experience and some really nice cars.

RPNW dues

Dues are 25.00 per year.

Cheap by any standards.
