And a triple stack of gauges in place of the unnecessary radio. The engine is music enough.

Got a new air cleaner today because i got impatient and bent mine. took all the garbage off of it and my special lady friend wanted to help, so i told her to put tape over every hole. Result: Hello kitty air cleaner! Kinda neat.

Swapped the busted radiator for the new one. Much better fitment than the last. Also finally got the old pitman arm off and the new one on. That is the worst part to remove from an FB. Hopefully I never have to do it again. Having issues with the exhaust now. I just cant seem to get anything to line up right.

Mounted my strut bar today and modified the stock air filter to fit without rubbing!
had to cut the air cleaner and bend it, then just taped it over for the time being. i'll rivet some sheet metal on to it and use silicone or something.

Completed instal.

cut and bend with tape on the inside.

Taped outside~

clearance shots

here you can see how far down it's angled. up next is the dryer hose attachment.

that damn strut bar was such an improvement. i can feel a difference in the steering immensely. i am super pleased with the results. car takes bumps and dips much better now.

Pulled the dash and installed a new heater control valve to replace the leaking one that leaked coolant inside the car. Drying and cleaning the carpet was a lot of fun

day before yesterday and then yesterday were pretty good. installed my steering wheel and cleaned her up good after cleaning some irons.

Here's the steering wheel installed. one screw is missing because i used it to get replacement Philips head screws that i will paint red. the wheel itself is very light, but the top half is kind of flexible, which is the only real downside. i got that particular wheel because the flatter bottom side gives more legroom, which is amazing(gf can drive it comfortalby now!). it's also 320 mm, and that feels like the size the wheel should have been stock.

the other "downside" is that the hub doesn't go as far down as one would hope. I'll figure that part out sooner or later.

anyways, here's some photos of her all clean and wet!

I know my stuff is far from impressive, but I still love her :p

also. my little race buddy!
