Just a update- Driftkid might be down for the count :(

Jared aka DriftKid in Salem is at OHSU in critical condition and not expected to last much longer. I will be headed back up there in the morning and will pass on any goodbye's or best wishes you have. Jared has had a chronic lung problem since born and he outlived his doctors best guesses.

Jared owns a extensively modified white FC I have helped him build over the years.

I wish him the best in what ever is next and being the optimist I am, push for him to keep fighting.

Aw man, that guy was awesome and I loved his car. VERY good person, probably one of the friendliest rotary guys ive ever met. Damnit....... Last time I saw him was at PIR waiting for his car to be done with a huge smile on his face. My prayers are with everyone involved in his life. And hats off to you Mark, you made a lot of **** happen for him and his car.

RIP

Didn't know him, unfortunately. Always sucks to hear when someone that is a part of the community passes. My condolences to the family and all that were close.

Jared gave me my first ride in an FC, I've still got video from part of it on my computer. [I'll post it to youtube, as soon as I get a chance].
That night [4.1.05] convinced me I had to get an FC.

I'd met up and been in touch with him a bunch of times between then and now, and he'd always been a really happy, and nice guy.

I haven't known what to say since Marc told me that he died.. But I started watching his myspace page [ http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...endID=30722906 ], and seeing just how many people's lives he's brightened.. I know he will always be remembered and missed.

Goodbye Jared, I'm sorry we never got that last drift session in..

Quote from the last blog made for him, by Morgan: "he would like to tell all of his friendshow much he loves them, and how you have all made his life. he feels that the relationships he has had have left him many happy memories."

I think it would be cool for all of those who knew him, wish they had known him, and wished they could have drifted with him, to get together and have a RX-7 run in his honor. Just an idea.

I'm sorry I never met him, he sounds like he was a good guy. Hope his family is well, my prayers go out to them.
