Shut up, lol! I want to first say the power feels like a lot more than the last setup. But on the dyno at Forged which I really appreciate that they were willing to let me rent their dyno after hours (4hours). Their dyno said I only make 340 rwhp and 265 ft-lbs at 15 psi. The torque band is broad though, over 200 fts from 3500 rpm all the way to redline.

Finishing up the last minute details. Will be picking up my tow rig this evening and having Fred (formerly Race Dezigns) finish the vinyl work on the car this evening. Just have to do the dash unit and get the tires rotated.

Congrats Adam, that sounds good.

The power band you have is very similar to mine.

I was putting down 347 HP and 277 ft-lbs at 13 PSI.
Also over 200 ft-lbs at 3500 RPM, though I can't recall the exact figure.

The difference may be the porting.

I can't recall what kind of porting you have on your motor.

Mine was ported with the goal of producing power as low in the RPM range as possible.

Yeah the broad torque band on this setup is nice. I have a large pineapple streetport.

Actually I just purchased a new wideband and sure enough I'm pig rich everywhere. ~10.9 afrs at 6 psi and up.

Practice went very well, had to do a catalog to retune it, was running lean. Tomorrow is going to be awesome!

Yep, next weekend. But just found out is a no passengers allowed on hot laps weekend. There's a parade lap session during lunch, but at a low speed, aka no fun speed.

Adam, man it's been a while since I looked at your thread! Wow! The word Great just doesn't encompass what you've done.

I'm taking mine down after this weekend for a rebuild and going single. You give me inspiration.

Thanks Kenny!

Did a video interview and car shot with Chris at Drivingsports.com on Skyline RD this last Sunday. Apparently they are in process of kicking off a Mazda specific webazine and my car will be the first featured car. Once I get a call that it's up I will post a link.

Mark took a badass shot at the Forged Performance BBQ. Will be doing some work with Forged in the future. Good group of guys.

Why do you think your car dyno's so low? The reason I ask is I am looking in to picking up the same turbo. Aspec 500r right? From what I understand you should be making around 400-450 @ 15psi.

Car looks great btw.

Haven't heard from them yet.

Well I think it was the dyno and partially the tune, I tuned it on the rich side. The last engine with much smaller ports produced 443 whp at 16 psi with the same turbo. Also with the ceramic seals I have in haven't broken in until just recently. I've noticed an improvement in low end torque for sure. I will be going on the dyno again soon to see what it's making.

Yeah, I was extremely low on cash flow that weekend, so I didn't go.

Are you signed up already? If not, GL getting on the list. See you there if you do.

Engine is out of the car as I type, I'm trying to sell of my weds sport wheels to help pay for the usual unexpected stuff. Given a lot of time and cash my buddy zai showed me a article about a twin charged V6....their is always the next engine

Medford sucked for me (ie the engine swap) the thing would leak 1qt of oil every 100 miles so I didnt run the track, josh mopped up in the ls1 rx7 everyone was impressed.

Man, that sucks. GL with the engine swap. Let me know if you need any custom fabrication done.

Yeah, I'm not suprised, Josh is a pretty competent driver in the LS1 FC.

Yeah, that will take some effort.

Well, I sprung a few leaks this last weekend. The Mazmart pump seal is going away and is dribbling coolant. Already in the process of getting a new one. Also was leaking at the turbo coolant outlet line. It was just too short to maintain a seal so I made a longer loop, just need to shorten it a little. Also it was leaking at the filler cap of all places, so I replaced it.

I also finally got my 12Kg springs that was on back order from Tein. Put them on the front, as well as put my .120 front bar in, man what a difference should have done this awhile ago. I moved the 10kg springs to the back, but the rear wants to step out sooner, may revert back to the 8 Kg springs. I also put on my new rear swaybar end links finally.

Also need to replace my leaking oil injector lines with some custom SS braided units I will be making.

Peace

Hey Adam,

You might want to check your bars etc. RE-Amemiya recommended to me 12/10kg and stock bars, but that was with their dampers and 265s, different stuff.

Where did you get the rear end-links? I've been wanting some to match my fronts for awhile, don't trust that plastic.

Where you running SS lines before?

Also mind if I steal some of your cool little ideas like the electrical switch in the bumper, etc haha? I've had some cool ones like that too I can share but don't really have a build thread yet, just a garage list.

Yep, grass valley is this weekend.

I have the stock rear swaybar in place, may disconnect it to gain rear grip.

Hit up RaceDriver7, he had a GB going for the front and rears. Don't know if the GB is still going on though.

http://www.improvedracing.com/index.php?cPath=2_7

No I am currently running new stockers.

Go for it.
