Since my dad lives up in seattle I plan on going up there often. I'll keep an eye out for meets and drives that work with my schedule.

So I got in touch with a guy who does CF work for a living and he's willing to teach me how to properly lay up CF. Looking forward to the finished results of the ducts I will be making.

After the hours of "work" (I used that term loosely) that I put in, I'm F'ing excited to see this car on the road. Hell, I didn't even put in half of what Adam did... If you haven't seen it, you're missing out.

Yeah, that big *** hill past Estacada is where I've been doing most of my tuning for the last four days.

Got a good 12psi tune so far, slowly building up to 17psi. Currently have an issue with the water pressure cap opening up and spewing coolant all in the engine bay during high rpm full throttle load. May need to incorporate an AST, will test a few things before I go that route though.

Was going to take video of one of my runs, but the batteries on camcorder were acting up.

Peace my biatches

thats a fun chunk of road to go on, I wish I would of had my MR2 out their vs the Maxima (other brothers car) but I'm kind of glad I didnt because their was a bunch of snow up at the place where we go shooting, besides that I only have one seat in the car

Still need to get my stuff worked out as well but supercharged V6's are fun, one of these days I'll see you at the track or something. I just got a 2nd gen NA rx7 the other day so I'm looking forward to doing that up, luckily the MR2 is just about done. I know mark/spider has got some stuff and usually he's helping my brother out on his 3rd gen over at the shop I hang out at where pineapple used to be, if you ever see a gutted white MR2 on gold gab sports thats me.

17 psi on efini turbos? I thought they weren't efficient then? You have AI?

I will when I get to that point, I will only hit 17psi when I use my scramble boost function off of my boost controller for that occasional need for a quick boost of power. I will daily drive on 12psi and track it at 14psi.

Ah I see, yeah thats what I do, daily at 12, 14 when I want it but it creeps up to almost 15 (have seen 14.9) on foggy/cold nights, even with the EVC VI!

Not yet, I think my current set is getting near the end of its life so once they go bad I'm going to upgrade to the series 8 twins and port the wastegate on that. I always figured the creep was due to the cold nights as I don't even have a mp, just h/f cat. Nice job porting yours tho.

Well, I found one of my boost leaks, but I think I still have more. One possible one is at of all places my SARD boost controller, may be auditorial delusion though .

Also started making the plug for my intercooler duct. Need to finish shaping and cover the plug surface with body filler. Once done I will use this to make my carbon intercooler duct.

Need to do the same for the oil coolers, air box and radiator block off plates.

that expando foam is fun stuff, I take it your going to fiberglass/carbon fiber it or something? I used to know a guy that was good at that but he's in another state, seems like the way to do it is lay it and vacume seal it to make it look all fancy, as you can guess I've never done it but it looks somewhat easy.

Started tuning for 14psi last night and getting good results, but have an issue where the boost is tapering off badly beyond 5K. Maybe the turbos are just running out of breath, need to verify there is no boost leak at the boost controller.

The intercooler duct plug is all body fillered and will be sanding it this weekend and making a fiberglass unit for a trial run to verify performance and mounting.

See attached vid of a quick 12psi run with the Synapse BOV valve going off. The noise is actually louder than what's on the video. Nice and crisp. If figure some of you audiophiles are wondering.

Peace

Adam,

That is one of the best set up, most meticulous 3rd gens on the planet. People would have to see the detail to appreciate it. I bet you have 100 hours in the wiring harness alone? But it sounds like you took a bit too much out I wish I could have seen it in person when it was finally done. I'll be in town mid-January so maybe I'll try to get a ride.

If you ever decide to sell it, call me first. Really, I'm serious.

Later,
Justin
