I'm registered for the 24th.

Recieved the 500R turbo kit yesterday! Very nice kit, but unfortunately have some clearance issues. Will be addressing them with A-Spec soon.

Peace

Should be in the solid 400+whp range at 12-15psi. My max HP will depend on what pressure my .84 A/R turbine will allow without going into choke and what I can achieve with a 3D AI in place too. But I'm not interested in all out HP, I'm looking for a broad usable powerband and good response.

As well you shouldn't. Are you intending on running 12-15psi? 400whp is more than enough. What kind of response are you expecting at that boost level? 3000RPM? The .84 is a little smaller than mine so I would assume that you will hit full boost a tad before me. What size is the cold side?

If I ever run into you at a meet we should exchange rides in eachothers cars. I would love to get a ride in a car with that turbo.

Z-beater,

Depends how efficient the intercooler system is, but I'm thinking - 12psi ~2800rpm; 15psi ~3200rpm; .70 A/R - 82mm Exducer.

I bet you would, hehe.

Space,

Competition Motorsports - Located in downtown Portland - 2242 N Williams Ave, Portland, OR, (503) 281-1579

Ron actual has some in stock, just FYI the **** ain't cheap.

I have some, but I think I will be using most of it with the heat sheilds and air box I will be making.

What clearance issues are you having with the kit? Is it an expected issue due to some of your modification/fabrication... Or is it something petty that could have easily been avoided?

Turbine is interfering with the GZ LIM. Couple of reason caused this, most of them are stemmed from the items I wanted on this kit (Synapse WG & .84 A/R Turbine) which are custom to the A-Spec 500R kit, plus my concerns relayed to Sean about my cooling system and turbo positioning (Right Hand drive headers used) and the GZ LIM. Basically it's mostly my fault. I talked the Sean and he's looking into setting up long runner headers with a R-hand drive header WG location. I will redo my cooling package as well. Which is just as well, because I will be needing a large IC anyways.

DON'T REFAB THE HOOD! I don't think that I could take it. Oh well, here we go again...

LOL, no refabing the hood, the vent is already 130% of the surface area of my current intercooler so I'm good there, besides I did such a good job I might have to make a mold out it. Though the post intercooler ducting will be and interesting shape when I get around to making that.

Currently working on the coolant package. Radiator mounts are in process and should be done tomorrow. I got a 4 in hump hose for the turbo inlet and some universal tubing bends for the new turbo ducting I will be making. I was hoping I recieved my new IC core as well, but it didn't. I went with a Bell intercoolers Bar & Plate 4.5" X 10.5" X 18" Core. It was the best compromise to available space, rated flowrate and cooling surface area.

Cheers

I was all hoping we could have made that keyless system work Would have been great for your car .

I did more research- the 96+ harness is different enough that it will not work on a 93-95 car, even the body harness is setup for RHD only.

So we would have to modify a 93-95 setup to a 96-02 setup. It could be done, but talk about a lot of work for a factory keyless entry.....

Well it would only be 14 wires, not that hard, lol. Hell, the door plugs have enough available pin openings to do it. Just need to get the designated pins, which would be hard to get..

Got my intercooler core in yesterday; will be starting on the mounting and oulet endtank this weekend. Will have to wait on the inlet endtank until I have installed the turbo and figured our my ducting from the turbo to the IC.

lol.

I even went to the junk yard and got those harnesses. (The car is gutted btw, I was happy they were there still...)
Not even close, again.

I am going to get the left door actuator and see how hard it would be to integrate it into a aftermarket alarm. (Use a RHD passenger door lock for its built in solinoid, relocate the microswitch to it, and integrate it into a viper alarm).
Still disappointing though.

how hard do you think that would be? I already have the viper setup with a door actuator and keyless works just this factory actuator would be way cleaner.

Did some work for John Walter the Third's FD this weekend so not much done on my car. Modified the Inlet tank for the IC, made new ducting all around and made proper rubber isolated mounting for the IC.

I was able to modified my water pump/thermostat housing, changed the turbo water outlet from stock to a -6AN fitting, relocated my SPA water temp sensor to be more accurate (no other place to put it, so need heat wrap to protect it from the Turbo), changed the location of the water inlet tube to better line up with my now double pass Koyo Rad and trimmed the air pump mounting ear to give more clearance to the secondary fuel rail outlet line and the support rod I will be making for the turbo.

It looks like you've replaced the PS cooling loop with a cooler?

If so, did you replace the fittings on the rack, or cut up the stock lines and reuse them?

If you found new fittings for the PS rack, please share. Those things are really hard to find. I spent a fair amount of time and effort on that last year and only found one of them.

I too am looking for a replacement cooler for my RE V-mount that will be easier to locate out of the way without all that bending. I found this thread but I can't find the part: http://www.nopistons.com/forums/inde...0steering&st=0
