The FD Restoration - $$$$ Damnit
I like the project, all the pics of sanding and working on body prep is really turning me off from getting a full paint = )
I live 3~ hours away next time I come down to portland i'll have to stop by and see your car looks great like what you did with the hood.

Yeah, it's either pay out the *** to have someone do it right or do it yourself for for much less, but do all the grunt work. I really hate bodywork, but I hate the idea of giving someone 15K for something comparable even more.
Thanks on the hood, I'm aiming to retain the clean body lines yet have something truely aero functional as a heat extractor for the IC. Other that tweaking the hood while welding on it, it turned out awesome.

i lost my fd wednesday night
$1500 REWARD!!!!!! for info on the person that caused the accident on the Schriever overpass(Houma- Thibodaux, Louisiana area) Wednesday night at 8:00 pm, This person was driving a 2003-2007 Dodge 1500 Regular Cab Short bed truck dark in color gray, green or black. When the individual passed me at a high rate of speed the homemade animal kennel that was not secured in the bed of his or her truck flew out when the truck hit the bottom of the overpass and smashed into my car, I lost control and I stared death in the face, needless to say I made it and I am still alive. My car is a total loss. The animal kennel was wood and wire and was about 4ft square and 5ft tall. If someone knows who may have done this I have $1500 big ones waiting for you. Please forward to anyone you know thank you Freddie Hebert 985-856-0916 cell.
Wanted straight body shell to rebuild my car.

I PM'd the guy, but it's too late for him to do anything about it.
Too bad about his car though.

Damn that looks good! Love the color choice... There's just something missing....... Maybe it's the engine....?

I fabricated my own support structure, the kit was originally a Rotary Extreme RE knockoff, but I didn't like how it was made so I only retained the Hella 90mm bulbs and fiberglass housing, everything else I made.
So, I started the process of engine work, taking everything off, remove all the tape I applied and reinstall parts.
Islander, the modified heat shield to clear EGT sensors are for you.
Stock fuel rail does not fit new LIM. So I have to order a top feed setup. Might as well go with 1600 secondaries. I need to do further porting of the LIM to have a better transition to my street ported motor.
Yeah

After looking at my options, I plugged up the primary fuel injection port holes with the plugs provided with this new LIM setup and will plum the primary injectors into the Secondary rail I ordered. I got 850 primaries and 1650 secondaries, a little over kill for I current turbo setup, but will be perfect when I go to a GT35 style turbo. I need to fabricate a stop bracket that provides additional support to the plugs I installed on the original primary injection port holes, currently a press fit.
I also added gold heat shielding to the LIM, used up most of my scrap strips I had leftover when I did Cartapex's plumbing.
